Default Selling Veristas Turtles and need packing advise

Hi guys, I'm selling a statue on eBay that was a custom without a box. Do any of you have any advise on packing something like this up?

I was thinking I could buy some foam that I could grout out to help secure the statue, but I looked at Michaels, Home Depot and Office Depot and no one has any. Does anyone know of a decent material I could use and where to get it? Any other suggestions for me other than double boxing?

Thanks

Hey Erik

about 2 years ago I sold my Mr Fantastic statue that I purchased with no box. It was being shipped to Florida from Pittsburgh. This was the first Mr Fantastic statue that Bowen did.
How I packed it was that I got thin bubble wrap and wrapped him up in that. I then then gently wrapped bigger bubble wrap around it. I got a large box that would fit the statue (it was at least 14 inches tall) and lined it with either heavy foam packing or with more cardboard (cannot remember which one). I then laid more bubble on the bottom of the box (about two inched worth), laid the statue on top of the bubble and then put thick layers of bubble wrap around it and on top. I took it to the post office, sent it off with a quick prayer that it would arrive fine. The buyer contacted me when it arrived and he got it undamaged for which I was very grateful.

Hopefully my tale of massive bubble wrap helps.

Hoping for a Phase 6 with FS Statues of the following

Nighthawk
Mockingbird
Moondragon
Mantis
The Red Guardian (The Defenders member-this one is a longshot)
and a REALLY GOOD Phoenix Museum Pose statue

A ridiculous amount of bubble wrapping = The answer

Seriously though, here's a bubble-wrapped wolverine statue that got to its destination safely:
