I just don't see this lasting very long. I try to look at the positives as much as I can, but I'm betting this one won't last. At least when you saw the Danny Ketch version you saw Ghost Rider. This looks like something Michael Bay dreamed up.

I will give it 3 issues and its done.. I mean the last horrible ghost rider series lasted like 7 issues or something... Marvel has no idea what they are doing with ghost rider they need to just leave it alone and forget it I mean there probably ashamed of the original Johnny blaze anyway just like there ashamed of all the other characters that made marvel what it is today....

Good writers have saved concepts dumber than this.
Unfortunately for this version of Ghost Rider, I don't think Alan Moore is available right now.

Despite me loving the car, I agree with you all the way, I'm really surprised at the way Marvel is literally turning just about every title on it's head.

"Knight Rider" should have been "Knight Driver" too, since he wasn't on a bike.
True that. Maybe Marvel could buy the rights and ret-con the title and/or concept. I kid!

This will not last long.....Marvel needs to go back to the basics. Quit trying to re-invent characters just to say "look what we did". Someone at Marvel knows this will not work. Find a good writer (Garth Ennis, Palmiotta, Gischler) and good artist and let them work Ghost Rider (Ketch or Blaze). I thought one of the better concepts was when Ketch was Ghost Rider and Blaze was a hellfire gun toting cyclists. And they had teamed up......I think it was called Spirits of Vengeance.

It was indeed. Not a bad series.

From what I understand, the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider will be a member of the Thunderbolts concurrently, so there will be two Riders out there simultaneously.

Step 1. See
Step 2. Covet
Step 3. Purchase
Step 4. Sell something so you can repeat steps 1-3

I think what Marvel NOW is trying to do is relate these new storylines to the new generation of kids these days. Back in the days we all loved to relate to these superheroes like Spider-Man...so maybe that's Marvel's new formula to reach a new crowd...? I don't read comics anymore nor do I read debates on this new Marvel NOW, but that's just my outsiders perspective.

That said, hMmmMmMmm...this looks like trash, but yeah...I don't read this stuff so it may have a good story? I will never give it a try though. Never have...never will.

I wonder if the original Ghost Rider fans said the same thing when they introduced Johnny Blaze in leathers and a motorcycle?

Honestly I don't really think they would have because by the time 1972 came westerns were done, nobody was really buying them because of all the new superheroes that were out. Kids probably thought it was aweosme lol

Also the original Marvel Ghost Rider was only 7 issues so he really didn't get to make an impact on the Marvel Readers like Johnny blaze did

I'm just messing with you. In my mind, Slade Ghost Rider and Blaze Ghost Rider have zip to do with one another.

That being said, They replaced Blaze before so there is nothing new there. And I'll tell you one thing - if the powers that be had gone with that car for Johnny Blaze back in the day....I'd have been all over it. That car is hot! No pun intended...
