Default Updates!

Season's Greetings! I hope the holiday's were good to everybody this year and you have lots of new statues and hobby-rific items to show for it! That's not really what the season is all about but I don't care what you got your dog for Festivus, show me the toys!

Thanks a lot for you enthusiasm and encouragement with this project. This was my first commission and on top of the standard learning curve I decided to put together a VERY ambitious project. Some changes have been made but all for the better in my opinion.

1) I lessened the amount of spikes coming out of Wolverine. There was going to be production issues regarding the creation, attachment and stability during shipping with so many spikes so I took them down a notch. I think it looks a lot more realistic this way. Here is an updated rendering:

2) Logan was lacking some detail in his hair/burns compared to the un-helmeted Magneto. Khurram touched this up and it really looks perfect now:

3) Having 2 different Magnetos is just too damn expensive for me to swing right now so I'm going to just produce the floating, helmet-less Magneto for this project. Don't worry, the other art will not go to waste, I will produce the standing Magneto with modified energy ball hands at a later date but I'm thinking of doing it in scale with the Diamond Select Jim Lee Modern X-Men dio. Magneto really should have been part of this instead of Sabretooth and I think this pose goes really well against the entire X-Men team. We all know Magneto could effortlessly pull Wolverine apart anyways and that is truer to the story line art. Here is my Modern Era X-Men dio (old pic, only missing Gambit at this point) and my Jim Lee, Chris Claremont, Scott Lobdell signed Litho behind it:

Its good to have something to look forward to ladies and gents!

Soooooo, I am moving forward with the printing of this Fatal Attractions Diorama very soon. Just dotting I's and crossing T's. Thanks for the encouragement and constructive criticism I've gotten from you guys since I started out with this. Hopefully by the spring I'll be basking the unholy 1/5 scale radness and can share the fruits with you all.

Default Printing WIP Pics

Here are a couple of pics of the project being printed. Still far from complete but we're getting there.

Sorry for the giant pics guys. I put them up in their original size so the full detail of the print could be seen. I'll try and shrink them down now for ya's.

Done! Maybe I'll go back through and shrink all the pics in this thread, its a bit ridiculous even on the flat screen TV I use as a monitor. My apologies.

Thanks for looking and stay tuned!

Paints should be done in the next few weeks I hope and sometime in June I hope to have the final product in my hands for a full YouTube review. Even though I don't have any uploads currently I plan on doing videos of all my statues once I move and get settled in the next few months. Subscribe now so you don't miss out, I go by the same name on YouTube, "billlyum."
