Default NBC Officially Cancels "Constantine"

Major bummer. I hope Sci-Fi or some other network picks it up.

That's a good point - it may not have been a good fit for NBC, but nowadays another network could pick it up. Sci-fi would be a good one.

Selfishly - I wonder if the Doctor Fate helmet will still be a go...?

Good news! I know it says its a one time only deal, but I wonder if CW has an interest in picking up the Constantine series? Definitely seems like a better network for this type of material.

I saw someone post on my instagram feed that constantine has been picked up by CW (Home of Flash and Arrow)... any truth to this?

Then through the power of internet I saw this so nvm:

Constantine showrunner Daniel Cerone tweeted that he had "a little surprise" for fans of the recently cancelled show.

While the surprise has yet to be revealed, Cerone did dash hopes that it could be the announcement of a second season for the short-lived comic book adaptation.

@DanielVCerone I said LITTLE #Constantine surprise. No season two. Sorry.

— Daniel Cerone (@DanielVCerone) August 11, 2015
With CW presenting at the Television Critics Association press tour soon, there is some speculation that Cerone's announcement may involve an appearance by John Constantine on Arrow or Flash.

CW was largely seen as the last hope for Constantine after NBC declined to renew the show for a second season, but CW ultimately passed on continuing the show as well.

Interesting to see Constantine show up on last night's DC's Legends series. Don't know how long he'll stick around, but it was a nice surprise...
