Thanks Rel. I've been doing more research and I think I want to try to incorporate this ad into the shadow box I place the pin into:

There a few others, but this seem to have that balance of good color and nostalgia to it....

That's pretty awesome. I'm not sure I even know the badge existed. The advert fits perfectly.

So I decided not to go with the ad in the display. If I ever can get my hands on an original ad - I may change this around. This feels more "right" among the other collectibles that I have on display. Would appreciate your guys' feedback...

Oh, and I apologize for the cruddy photos - taken with my phone...

Very cool SD! I had never seen or heard of that before.

Nice, Ken!
Very tasteful and understated.
I think anything else added would detract from the importance of the item.

Thanks Wayne - I think if I ever get my hands on the actual membership card, or even the full membership kit - I'll change it up. But for the most part, I'm really happy how it turned out.

I've bought a few things from them (including my curio cabinet) and have been very satisfied with their quality and service:

Euro Floating Wall Shelf - Wall Shelf - Wall Decor - Display Shelves | HomeDecorators.com
BTW Wayne - thanks for this. The shelves have a 5.75" depth - which is plenty of room for some of the larger busts I want to have on there. I'm considering this for all of my Villains.

My only fear is that I'm going for the 48" long shelf. I wonder about the weight of MB's across the entire shelving unit. It's held onto the wall with hanging screws - which I've worked with before. But - we'll see....

I've thought about using those myself for busts but I'm really worried about the weight too. Even if you drill into studs, all of the weight is on the edge of the screw head and the thickness of the shelf material. But I'm a worrier so what do I know?

Simple and very effective solution to that problem guys.
Use the largest toggle bolts possible and you can put as much weight as you want on those shelves as long as the attachment point on the back of the shelf is sturdy.
I'd probably add a steel washer to the bolt head for more surface area at the attachment point if there's room.

1969 Marvelmania Captain America Pinback, 1966 Marx Captain America License Plate, 1966 Marvel Comics Group Vending Machine Prizes: Captain America Rubber Figure & Captain America "Flexi-Ring", 1966 Removable Head Ring of Captain America

I decided to redo this shadow box because the Rubber Captain America figure was not staying in place like I would've liked - so I changed the background, placed Cap into something that could hang easier, and added the 1966 Pinback that I've had for some time now. Figured it would be worth getting all of the 60's stuff into one shadow box frame.

From looking at this though, I wish I would've used a different background color. Also, I'm not all the excited about Cap Rubber figure in the card holder, but it works for now. Ah well - may in a few months...

1966 Removable Head Ring of the Incredible Hulk, (PINK and BROWN), 1966 Hulk "Flexi-Ring" Gumball Vending Machine Prize, 1966 Button World Super Hero Club Hulk Pinback

At first, I didn't think this was going to work with the Black background, but after hanging it up it doesn't look lost inside the shadow box...

1975 Marvel Comics Group Coloring/Marketing Guide - Captain America

This is a piece that I really like. It was given to companies who were given a license to use the image of Captain America. This is a pic of the front of the coloring guide. You can see to the right the correct coloring to use if any images of Captain America were to be used.

Here's a photo of the back of the guide:

1975 Marvel Comics Group Coloring Guide - Captain America

As you can see, these are the images you see on many pieces of advertising and/or merchandise featuring Captain America from the 1970's and early 1980's.

Thanks! I did have the Hulk but let it go. I've seen the New X-Men out there too - I'm sure there's more. But I rarely see them.

wrlord's been recommending flickr too, Ken. Might be worth comparing all of the available sites before making a final decision.
At this point the only thing that's been holding me back from choosing a new photo-hosting site is the hassle involved in transferring all my pics, which is probably a lot easier than I'm imagining it is right now.
