Those are some sweet Godzilla pieces, ONEYE. I would love to have a complete Kaiju set from Toho and Daiei! Unfortunately I am a long way off. If only Bowen Designs could get the lincenses...

Nice, northpole2. It reminds me of the Godzilla Christmas Ornaments from Godzilla Origins. I wonder which Godzilla design they'll do this year? Last it was the GMK: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack design. Maybe this year we'll get the Millennium Godzilla?

That one lights up, moves its head and roars. It's pretty cool.

Default New Kaiju in the Collection!

I just acquired my second vinyl Kaiju statue from X-Plus Garage Toys line!

MANDA ~ The God of the Mu Empire!

Head shot!

Two of my favorites! And two under appreciated Kaiju!

Default New Kaiju in the Collection!

I just added one Kaiju to my burgeoning collection!

Again from X-Plus

The only three kaiju not to participate in the final battle of DESTROY ALL MONSTERS!! These three Kaiju are among my favorites of Godzilla's monster island friends.

My collection thus far... I'm hoping to collect all of the Toho Kaiju from 1954 to 1968 and then the others eventually. I'll make a few exceptions here and there

My Kaiju Want List

#1 Godzilla (1962, 1989, 1992, or 1995. I'd be more than happy with any of these)
#2 Anguirus (1968)
#3 Rodan (1956)
#4 King Ghidorah (1965 or 1991)
#5 Maguma (1962 and don't ask me why. I can't explain why I want him but I do)
#6 Moguera (1957)
#7 Both Gargantuas (1966)
#8 Titanosaurus (1975)
#9 Gorosaurus (1967)
#10 Gezora (1970)

Ideally I'd want them all from X-Plus' 30cm Garage Toys series

I love them all but some I want more than others! Biollante is at the top of the list too but seeing as how it goes for over $1,000 on eBay I'll probably never get her.

Bottom of the List (these guys I'll put off as long as possible)

#1 Jet Jaguar
#2 Kumonga
#3 Kamacaras
#4 Ebirah
#5 Gabara

Gamera and his rogues are also something I'd want too.

Man, I am really greedy

Default Kaiju on the Loose!

Anguirus 1968 version 30cm Series from X-Plus

I just added this fella to my ever expanding Kaiju collection! This is the Anguirus version featured in Destroy All Monsters! Ever since I was a kid I always liked this guy!

A comparison shot with Manda! Anguirus is one of the longest figures in the set!

Default Hail to the King!

Godzilla 1962 Version 30cm Series from X-Plus!

I finally added the one essential Kaiju to any collection! GODZILLA! I had been holding out for the right Godzilla for me and this is it! This version is from King Kong Vs Godzilla and was the version of Godzilla I watched the most as a child. It is my favorite design of his from the entire Showa era.

I didn't realize just how chubby Godzilla was until seeing this!

Default Latest Addition!

Maguma 1962 version from X-Plus Garage Toys 30 cm series. My newest addition to the Kaiju Roster!

The rarely seen kaiju from the 1962 Ishiro Honda sci-fi feature GORATH

1962 Kaiju class reunion! Both monsters portrayed by Harou Nakajima!

An odd assortment of classic kaiju I'll admit, but a collection I personally relish

Default Kaiju Makes Landfall!

I saw what I believed to be a good deal and jumped all over it!

Titanosaurus 1975 version from X-Plus Garage Toys 30cm series

The last new kaiju to be introduced in the Showa era of Godzilla films, TITANOSAURUS, from the 1975 Ishiro Honda film TERROR OF MECHAGODZILLA

The detail is spot on with this statue. One of the reason I like this kaiju is that he was designed to be a throwback to the more traditional kaiju of the 1950's and 60's, very different from most of the kaiju being introduced in the 1970's.

The biggest problem with this one is the seam where the tail connects with the body. It is easily the most glaring seam of all the X-Plus 30cm kaiju I own

Regardless of the seam it's pretty dang awesome!

He's also the tallest of the figures in my collection

You can tell monster designs had changed quite a bit from the early 1960's to mid 1970's. The colors are more vibrant and the designs more fun and appealing. He really does stand out from the rest with his bright red and yellow coloring along with a glossy finish... but that is quite possibly intentional given that Titanosaurus is an aquatic animal and would conceivably have shiny skin and bright coloring like many ocean dwelling fish and amphibians.

All in all I'm very happy to add him to my collection.

The prices are ridiculously expensive! To say that I have been foolish with my money may not be far from the truth... But I do so love my Godzilla and his fellow kaiju. It's a love I've nurtured for 26 years now. These vinyl figures from X-Plus are the best looking statues I've ever seen of the Toho Kaiju.
