Default Tcaf 2016

Show up at a convention where Pia Guerra is a guest, she'll sketch for free in your hardcovers as well. The sketches in the hardcovers from Pia would have
made my whole day at TCAF. The Brian K. Vaughan autographs are a huge
bonus. My understanding is that Brian K. Vaughan rarely does autograph sessions.

Brian K. Vaughan signed the Runaways hc. He was nice enough to date it.

Sean Phillips would sometimes do a quick sketch in his books. He was charging $30 for post card sketches. I opted for the $30 sketch. His style is so suited for the crime books.

I was flipping through the Sleeper hardcover, and really like the Phillips style of art. I am
a new fan.

Sean Phillips said that there would be a good chance that he would be returning next year at TCAF.

I just called The Beguiling book store in Toronto in regards to the Brubaker/Phillips crime
hardcovers. They have them all at cover price. I won't be waiting for a sale, as I will be buying one of each

I asked for five $30 sketches in the Invisibles Omnibus. Priceless!

I asked Adrian Alphona to fit 7 small head sketches in the Runaways hardcover. He was fine with the $140 for the 7 character. I had to wait till the closing on Sunday for this.
What a masterpiece! Actually I was expecting something like this.

We take for granted the very talented Canadian comic artists who are often guests at Fan Expo. Some of the most talented out there are McNiven, Alphona, Finch and...

Mr. Butcher who organizes the TCAF really did well this year. Managing to get Brian K. Vaughan was incredible. The line up to get autographs from BVK went past several buildings.
Probably suggestions came from Mr. Butcher to the artists, that they do a little more for the fans, was noticed. There was no problems getting free quick doodles. You purchase a certain artist's book, you get a better sketch.

Sorry that I couldn't find picture of the quick sketch that Jeff Lemaire did in the Sweet Tooth hardcovers. on of my favorite reads are the Sweet Tooth books.

Statue Marvel members: Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) is a 2 day event held every May. Many independent comic artists, including famous international one's and mainstream kinds are in attendance. It is worth the trip to Toronto. Google TCAF to see what it is all about.

I had specifically mentioned the Beguiling Book Store because they are a sponsor of the event. I ended up buying 5 Brubaker/Phillips crime hardcovers on Wednesday at the store.
