I can't tell from the pics, but will one of the versions have a white stripe and star?

Added a YouTube link to the original post of a quick wall through of the EFX booth that someone posted.

From (what little) info I can find the classic or original will have a white/light silver strip and then there will be the stealth and battle damaged versions.

Here are the best screen shots I could get.

It shall be mine!! (the original that is... i don't know what those other ones are supposed to be...)

but at which point, will this be like the thor hammer, where we preorder and it takes another 1+ year for release? Cause considering the amount of time, I would expect them to have 1000 of these ready to just ship out....

Awesome to see an update on this one. Still lots of questions, what are they made of, will they come with a wall mount of some sort, what is the reverse like (arm holds? on leather loop to hold it?), and the big query, price point?

Looking forward to getting more info.

From what I've read it will be made of fiberglass and have a price tag of $599. No confirmation of that yet but this is coming from those who spoke to efx at Wondercon. I'll let you guys know if I find out anything else.

I'd love to have one but it would have to be at least half the price for me.

It always amazes me how much they want for these Cap shields.
You'd think with a price point like that they could afford to make them out of metal instead of plastic or fiberglass. I mean how difficult could it be to stamp these disks out of real metal instead of some of the other materials we've seen these made of?

I often wondered the same thing about Corvettes. Maybe it's so us non-enhanced folks can get a little more velocity in our shield tosses

What are the repro shields made of that are already on the market - the good ones? I think Al had one for sale not too terribly long ago. I would love to have a Cap Shield in my display one of these days, but anything that doesn't issue a "ding" when I thump it isn't going to work for me.

I bought one of the metal triangle shields when they were produced by Museum Replicas. They ran about $300 and have leather straps on the back and a wall mount bigger than the shield. Not impressed with the price point or the fiberglass here.

Confirmed and up on EFX's web page these will be $599 and made of fiberglass.

There will be two options. One pre order with a $200 NRD or pay in full $599.

IMO the price is too high for a fiberglass replica. Considering the Old Factory X ones were machined aluminum. Still a nice piece though I miss the old companies like Master Replicas, Factory X etc that made metal replicas.

They're probably worried about it denting during shipping.
I doubt they're making it out of lighter fiberglass just to make it easier to throw at bad guys or carry all day like Cap does.

so the question is... do i trust them to get it out this august? or even this year?

cause if so, i would probably be just with throwing the full price down upfront...
but if it takes a year?

....
