I finally got to meet George Perez a few years back at Wizard's World Chicago and he was an incredbily generous and jovial individual.

An idol since I first saw his art in the pages of the Avengers, he was kind enough to sign some re-printed artwork for me that I had autographed for my little boy and for me.

I always wondered how to get a commission, so thanks for that link...!

I won't tell you what it cost, but it cost a lot less than you might think. We're talking Thanos on Throne MSRP, not Retro Cable aftermarket.

"Generous" is the best word to describe George Perez. I haven't been to a convention in a few years, but throughout most of the 1990's/2000's, George would donate ALL the money he made doing convention sketches to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.

He'd get a list going each day and do all his sketches on comic backer boards overnight. He was (is) AWESOME. Somewhere in my collection I have an original Scarlet Witch sketch.
