Default Zuff25 - major callout and props!!!!

about a month and a half ago, I decided to purchase the Modern Thor Museum statue from Zuff25. I remember he had one on his list and I contacted him, he gave me a price, I Paypal'd him the money and the statue was off to me. Since it was coming from Canada, it took a good two weeks. I got the statue, opened it and this is what I saw

Well, Thor survived Ragnarok but did not survive the Canadian Post Office.

I took pictures and sent them to Zuff. He got back to me almost right away and asked for more pictures, asked me to email them to him and he filed a claim with the Canadian Post Office. Zuff kept in touch with every few days to let me know what was happening.

After almost 2 weeks, I received a questionnaire from the Canadian Postal Service asking me about the statue. I explained to them the breakage, the decrease in value, etc. I mailed it back to them and let Zuff know what happened.

I heard back from Zuff about a week later saying that the Canadian Post Office was siding with us and would provide reimbursement (and I was still able to keep the statue). Today an email came from him saying that he was going to PayPal me the proceeds of the check. As it turned out, I paid $260 for it and I got a reimbursement $193, which I was shocked about and rather happy.

The statue can be repaired. In fact, the lock of hair that came off is not even noticeable and the broken part of the wing on the helmet can be glued back on and repainted over. Even though Thor was decapitated, glueing the head back on will be the easiest thing and no one would even know that his head got knocked off.

I cannot say enough good things about Zuff. Some people might have given me a big "F-U, it is your problem now-I sent it out in mint condition-you deal with it". To me, Zuff went farther than most would have and I am very grateful (and on a selfish note even after I pay for the repairs I would have only paid about $100 dollars for a statue that retails for 3 or 4 times that amount)

Thanks once again Zuff.

Hoping for a Phase 6 with FS Statues of the following

  • Moondragon
  • Mantis
  • Wonder Man (in the Perez Designed costume)
  • Havok (need a new one in his classic costume because the existing one is too expensive on Ebay)
  • The Red Guardian (The Defenders member-this one is a longshot)
  • and a REALLY GOOD Phoenix Museum pose

Awesome! Sorry you both had to go through it but sounds like Zuff really came through. Another example of an excellent member here.
