Nice! You secured an AP! Damn...I'm thinking I should have at least tried getting one. I'm sure it was an adrenaline rush trying to get that order in and beating thousands of other people worldwide trying to lock in on only 50 spots! Congrats man!

alrighty. here is mine.
number 441 of 500 USA.
this statue is extremely detailed. and looks killer.
i have to say im very pleased with how it turned out.
there was a bit of glue that dripped on his neck and side of his face but i was able to pick it off carefully without damaging the paint job underneath. not really a fan of the name plate. would have liked it better if it was at the bottom of the base underneath. only because it draws your eyes to it rather than to the sculpt. but this piece for the price you paid was worth every penny and then some. my one and only complaint would be, i would have liked to have seen the teeth more sharp like in the artwork. its just the teeth kind of reminds me of how the action figure was back in the day. also after looking it over thoroughly. i would have liked to have seen the red undertones in his suit as shown in the prototype. might get it repainted.
but dont get me wrong. i couldn't be more pleased with this. and for 185 with free shipping. this was a real bargain. im so hoping they do more of these. specially Mandarin Spawn and all the other great figures that Mcfarlane put out.
well here are the pics. some with flash some without and some with dif color backgrounds.
enjoy.

I wonder how tough it would be to put in the red highlights. Would you dry brush, or use a wash?

yeah i really wish it had the red in the suit. but they really aren't highlights. because they are to appear under or in the creases of the suit.
id say a wash only becasue you want to paint the low lying areas of the suit where the red is. if you use a dry brush then you'll be only highlighting the top of the suit.
yea im def going to get mine repainted now after seeing the artwork again. the red really makes it pop. man i wish they would have done it in the first place..lol

thanks Oneye, so just a little taller but because Spawn is leaning. I would assume if Spawn was in the same stance as Curse they would be the same height, Spawn is porportioned correctly right?

I'll take a look at mine when I get home.

Got him in a couple of days back!

First thing the base is amazingly heavy lol, i like how they have done the rims around the base to signify what area it's from as you'll notice mine has a blue rim being the European one.

The sculpt is really nice, super detailed and well painted. The only thing that annoys me is they didn't put the red in on the black parts, i think it really set the statue off nicely and it's missed imo. The Green eyes for instance really pop because of the lack of colour on the statue and the red would have done the same, love the eyes though easily my fave part of the whole thing!

Also it's a really nice size and fills a detolf cube perfectly!

I know a lot of people don't like the name plates signed by Todd but i really like them, when displayed with other signed pieces like Haunt and Spawn, it looks cool and uniformed.

Thanks for sharing! Congrats on the pick up! Love the detail on him...I bet if I saw this in person I'd cave in. Trying to resist! Hope McFarlane Toys gets back on track and starts producing more Spawn statues!
