So freakin' good.
You look at stuff like this and wonder if today's comics are just riding the coat-tails of when comics were that great all these years later.

^ yeah. Just look at that first page:
Quote:
In the very heart of New York, Nazi terror is unleashed upon the horrified populace as the winding snakey tunnel reveals a gruesome threat to Captain America and Bucky!
You know you're in for a hell of a ride, and it'll have a start, a plot, and an end. And you don't need to know a damn thing coming into it.
What ever happened to storytelling?

Love Avison's work.

Weird I don't see a credit for him on the scans.

Sash's Bowen Collection Thread

If you see the collection thread in new posts, it's because new pics have been added.

The splash page. Though it is there in this case, a lot of work from those days did not have attribution at all.

Is there an omnibus with his work in it?

If there is one out there devoted to early Cap appearances, I'm sure that he's well represented. Otherwise, I'm afraid that he's one of the many unsung greats of this profession.
I love the dynamism of his figures. And, as someone else observed, his blowing apart the traditional panel structure was decades ahead of his time.
