I've bought a bunch of swords for under $100. Now, of course, they're stainless, not carbon, but they're ok for decor.

Very cool thread. I am gearing down for the year at this point. I make a list of what I want to try to get each year and after picking a mojo and x-force Warpath I am done with my list till next year.

So, at the moment, I am waiting to receive Blackbolt fs & Lockjaw & Medusa busts so I can finish my second curio in my man cave. The shelf will have blackbolt in the center with Medusa & Crystal on risers and the rest of the squad in front. If someone can pm me how to post pictures on here I will create a collection thread. I currently only post on Facebook and have a tiny temporary man cave.

Need to start saving to finish my basement

I too agree this is a great thread!

Well as I mentioned in my personal thread page I just moved. So all my boxes are currently sitting in my new office/man cave in a pile. It's very upsetting. But I need to get the shelving situated first and I'm almost thinking of holding off a few weeks. We got blasted with one last heat wave here around Toronto and it's super humid. I don't have an AC unit installed yet in my new place so we need to have the windows open and much of the surrounding subdivision is still under construction. So I just know a lot of dust is flying around. I think it would be wise to just leave everything boxed up until either the construction dies down or we can leave the windows shut. I did however setup my Omni collection on a shelf inside the closet just on Monday and have enjoyed looking at that everyday. Those oversized comics make me so happy!

Hey pg3wg3,
Are those Marvel lounge pants you're wearing in that last pic?

Yes sir. My mother in law buys me pajama pants every year for Christmas and those are my favorite pair. Much better than the first picture I took. Showed my wife the first ones and she was like "um go put pants on and try again"

Not that I can talk. I have a couple of pairs of DC ones.

I have My Little Pony ones... Not by choice, but they are the most comfortable things I've ever worn.

That's the Sideshow Bronze Spider-Man. There's a Wolverine and Iron Man in the set.

It's my only Sideshow piece and I love the classic look of it. There are a couple people here on SM that had it painted and it looks fantastic. I would consider it if I knew a good painter nearby.

It's also 1/4 scale or close to it, and is a good reminder of how big those things are and how little room I have to collect those.

Hey webslinger, thanks! Not quite the quantity you have but I'm quite pleased with it. I may add that Bowen 60's/Conway statue at some point.

Unfortunately I got nothing done over the weekend. You guys have me too worried about UV rays now so I'm not unpacking anything until I get some heavy drapes for my office window. I thought about taking some pictures but that's about as far as I got.

I agree with the others that it is definitely a concern and worth spending the time to get some window coverings.

Ya I'm listening to everyone's advice. It just saddens me that all my statues are still being held captive in Styrofoam. I'm hoping this weekend I can get some drapes for the window and start working on the room.

If anyone has any recommendations for some cheap but protective drapes I would love a link? I have a Lowes and a Home Depot near me. Not sure if either are exclusively Canadian or not.

Even the vinyl slat blinds you can buy at Walmart for $9.99 do an effective job as long as you make sure to purchase the "room darkening" variety.
If you spend a little more you can buy them in just about any color you want (besides the standard white and beige) with a little research on the web.
Same goes for the "Roman Shade" style of blinds that seem to be really popular now.
A bit more expensive and you can get them in different materials, but as long as they're "room darkening" they'll do the job.
Pretty sure HD and Lowe's both stock them as well as Wally World.
