Default Kotobukiya - Batman & Robin ArtFX+ Statues

From the Kotobukiya Facebook page:

KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Kotobukiya’s groundbreaking 1/10th scale DC Comics collection has brought you New 52 heroes and villains, Classic Costume retro-inspired figures, Batman: The Animated Series, and more, and now it adds another important chapter in the history of the Dark Knight with the BATMAN & ROBIN TWO-PACK! This dynamic duo comes straight from the pages of Frank Miller and Jim Lee’s All Star Batman & Robin, the Boy Wonder, specifically replicating the artist’s work on the cover to issue #9. From that depiction Kotobukiya has crafted a menacing Batman in an aggressive stance and a more light-hearted Robin kneeling while preparing to throw a batarang. The Caped Crusader is all business with a scowl on his face as he settles into a crouch, leaning forward for balance with his fists balled and ready. Batman’s dark, nearly gray on gray, costume contrasts nicely with the bright red, green, and yellow of Robin’s; the diminutive sidekick wears a big smile on his face along with his original duds including the short-sleeved shirt and vest, gloves, cape, mask, scalloped trunks, and spritely shoes. Both figures are captured with a fantastic attention to detail that highlights clothing elements, facial expressions, and more.

Sculpted by Naoya Muto, Batman stands just over 6 inches tall and Robin under 4 inches (1/10th scale), and of course both figures have magnets in their feet for perfect stability on their included display base. Make this duo a centerpiece in your collection or display alongside your favorite Gotham City ARTFX+ Statues from Kotobukiya like Joker, Red Robin, Nightwing, and more!

Available March 2017

Did Batman ever wear the grey and black when Robin was wearing the classic costume?

That with the face stubble seems like a today's Batman with Grandpa's Robin.

Also, did Robin use Batarangs . . . or did he have his own version of the weapon?

Like the Batman, hate the Robin. But then, I've never liked the concept of Robin.

This is inspired by the short lived All Star Batman and Robin. Drawn by Jim Lee and written by Frank Miller. It was an attempt to do what Marvel was doing with the Ultimate Universe.

I thought it looked like All-Star BandR!

I have to say that I really like that Batman and will probably get that. I assume it is 1/10 scale?

Mister H, I too never cared for the idea of Robin.

I'm not generally a big fan of the ArtFX+ stuff, but I like both of these (together). Might pick these up.

Gotta say...that's one of the best looking Batman statues that I've seen. Wish it was 1/6 scale.

Might have to get this for my partner's collection. They already have the ArtFX Red Robin and Red Hood, so would be cool to have this set.

We've also got the Robin that Randy sculpted. Really nice statue tbf.

I like it. I have the set ordered from BBTS. Should go nicely with my ArtFx+ Bat Family.

It's only in the two pack?!? Crap.

I may break down and get the Animated Series one too.

HILARIOUS! This is the first time I saw the pictures posted and started thinking THE EXACT SAME THINGS when I read your post...!

And then I thought, "this looks like All-Star Batman and Robin"...lo and behold the rest of the post....funny

$90 for two "statues" that only measure 6" and 4" and have little detail, shading or even bases seems a bit steep to me too.
While I do like the look of them, they really don't appear to be much more than de-articulated action figures.
As such the $90 price tag seems quite inflated to me.
