Default Complete: Custom 90s Jubilee conversion

The last thing I needed to complete my 90's lineup is an awesome Jubilee statue. And knowing that Bowen and Kotobukiya may never actually make one, I decided to customize an old Sue Storm statue. Definitely the biggest project I've ever done (in terms of transforming a statue). Here are the final shots, followed by the WIP photos. let me know what you think!

Some group shots for scale (sorry for the bad lighting)

Nice! I know lots of people here want/need one of those.

Who makes the original statue? I don't think I've ever seen it before.

Off to a great start! I can't wait to see the finished Jubliee! Probably my most missed statue from Bowen's run.

Looks awesome! You planning anything with the base?

Thank you, It's an old diamond select statue. It took me forever to find a good template and this offered the least resistance because her costume is so simple.

I was just gonna paint it black and maybe find an X-logo to cover the "4". But I am definitely looking for suggestions. Any thoughts?

I don't know much about sculpting, and forgive me if this sounds quite crazy, but I'd make a firework-esque kinda thing out of some kind of clear material (Clear resin or something) but leave an indent with enough space inside for a small LED. Then drill through the base in front of where she's standing and mount the 5mm LED poking out. Then put the clear resin 'firework' over the LED so it lights up. Power it from under the base and Boom, you got a Jubilee-power base. Dunno if it would be possible, but it'd be cool.

Can't wait to see how it turns out however you do it.

Fantastic work thus far! Congrats and looking forward to seeing more. If it were me, I'd probably go with a silver "tech" base to compliment my Koto Danger Room series.

Incidentally how does the Diamond Select statue scale with the more popular Bowens?

That sounds amazing! Might have to research that a bit. But thank you for the suggestions.

Since I have a pretty mixed 90s set, half the bases are silver danger room bases, and the other half are black Bowen bases. So either would fit in nicely.
This particular diamond select is perfectly scaled with my other 12" statues. I'll post some comparisons soon.

Almost finished but I wanted to post some updates. She still needs some paint touch-ups and a better base.
But this has really turned into a fun project. Cant wait to pose her with the rest of my 90's Crew!

Dang! That looks incredible! Nice job!

I like the idea of fireworks on the base. You could do it a little simpler and just paint it all black and then manually paint some fireworks on it although the clear resin with built-in LEDs sounds really cool.

All she's missing is some fireworker shooting finger tip action to be the real deal!

Awesome job bro.
