Default Top 10 Gentle Giant Items that Have SOLD on eBay

Top 10 Gentle Giant Items that Have SOLD on eBay

Discuss the Top 10 Hot Toys SOLD on eBay

Hi Folks! We keep asking you to support us by clicking on any of our eBay banners on the left side, the top or the eBay items that scroll horizontally across the top of each section & we appreciate your efforts!

I thought it would be a good idea to make our request more fun. That's why I've started this thread. Here's what you do:

1. Click on any of our eBay banners.
2. Once you are on eBay, type Gentle Giant into the search bar.
3. Once the results populate, click the Advanced link to the right of the rectangular blue search button.
4. Click the box for Sold Listings
5. Click Search
6. Once those populate, sort by Highest First.

At that point you will be presented with the highest selling Gentle Giant on eBay! I thought it'd be cool if we kept on ongoing discussion about what's trending & what you think about what sellers are getting as a return on their investment.

Sound like a good time? Let us know!

The Sucker Punch statues were definitely a sleeper hit with GG. Some of us didn't get them when we should have

I don't get the appeal of Sucker Punch figures at all.
That movie was so incredibly bad I wouldn't want anything near me that reminded me of it.

I did, and I actually liked it...kind of. I mean the "dream" or "hallucination" sequences were kind of fun and out there. Plus the women were gorgeous. I won't call it a top 30 movie or even one I'd own, but for what it was I actually watched it twice on some cable channel.

I was really taken by the costume designs when I first saw them at SDCC. You couldn't help thinking it would be an interesting movie with all the money they were spending on it.
Turned out to be a laughably bad movie, without even a hint of charm that might have made it into a bad "cult" film.
Just proves that no matter the talent or money spent, you can still end up with a terribly boring movie that makes absolutely no sense on any level.

The Honey Trap series is their attempt to appeal to same market that bought the SuckerPunch statues (which sold really well). They are developing it as an IP. Kevin Dart did the designs, which are fantastic. He's the guy behind Yuki 7, whose SDCC statue also sold out. The Whisper was a high ticket item ($700 clams I think) so the profit margin isn't so hot based on the investment, and I think the version offered at SDCC was an exclusive, but I'm not 100% on that.

I bought a Sucker Punch bust. The female with the pilots helmet. Just because it was aviation related and looked cool. Agree the movie was not great. Great action, great costumes, fight choreography was decent. Story was terrible, especially the ending.

With Deadpool on the Vespa making the list it makes me wonder what the aftermarket prices on the forthcoming WWII ultimate Cap on the motorcycle will be like.

Anyone recall the edition size on that? I believe Hawkeye on the skycycle was under 200.

550 for Deadpool, 250 for Ghost Ryder, 160 for Hawkeye and 320 for Cap.

The Sucker Punch line is one of the best ever done by Gentle Giant. The quality of the pieces surpasses the work of Sideshow. The Sculpt, the paint application and the mixed media are excellent! Therefore the high esteem among collectors. The unfavorable movie reviews have not slowed down the demand of these statues in the aftermarket. Prices continue to rise up.
