Default Has anyone used Ikea's Fabrikor cabinet?

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie to statue collecting and am looking to buy my first display cabinet.....just wondering if anyone has used Ikea's Fabrikor cabinets? While you get one less shelf vs the Detolf, it is deeper, wider, it hold more weight per shelf (22lbs vs 13lbs) and you can adjust the shelf height.

Here is a link as an FYI
FABRIKÖR Glass-door cabinet - beige - IKEA

Thanks in advance.

I've never seen that product before, but adjustable shelves with a 22-pound limit are pretty good selling points compared to a detolf.

Hi! welcome! I have seen it in IKEA but without any heavy display in it. Looks nice though. Hope someone can help you with answers.

I have Detolfs, and saw this on display at Ikea. I didnt like it because of the thick framework and the flared out feet that prevent you from putting the cabinets flush together like you can with the detolfs. It looked more like a kitchen/bathroom cabinet than something you may put in a living/family room or den ( just my opinion ).

They do however look quite sturdy.

Hope this helps.

I'm not a fan of the glass cases, I don't trust them to not break; I'm aware this may not be based in reality.
I use the bestas for my statues because of how story they are.

A little late, but I have been looking at the same cases. Here is a great link. She does not have any 1/6 figs, but does show a 1/4 for scale (scroll half way).

Never used those or detolfs but I am a huge fan of the Ikea Billy bookshelves.

I currently am using a Billy for the 1/6 Bowen statues and it's awesome but if you have or plan on getting some 1/4 scale SS you may have some trouble.

Not a fan. Like others said...thick frame and flare out legs. The cabinet itself takes too much away from the statues and busts, which should be the star of the show.

I use two Billy Bookcases and one Detolf as of now. I use the Detolf for Mini bust sets placing the heavy stuff on the bottom and top. The Billys work great for 1/6th scale and the glass door option is nice.
I don't own any 1/4th scale statues, but I would guess that the set up I have now would never work for 1/4th scale. Even with the Billy bookcases, there are some Bowens that are too deep to fit.
Statues like Thanos on the Throne will never fit and Captian Marvel action is pushing the depth limits.

For those use Billy do you find the shelves to sag over time? I have 4 Billy bookshelves at home to store my kids books and all the shelves show signs of bowing over the time period of 2 years.

Iago, did you ever wind up getting the Fabrikor?

I bought one last night and I'm assembling today.
