Suggested cheap kits?
Hey all,
I've never sculpted a thing in my life, but am always in awe at some of the things we see. I figured the best way to start would be kit assembly, which may teach me how to paint.
Anyone have any good suggestions for good and fun cheap kits and paints to buy?

Any of the Moebius or Polar Lights plastic superhero kits would be a good place to start honing painting skills. Cheap and plentiful on eBay.
As you get better you could move up to the larger vinyl kits by companies like Horizon that take a little more trimming & prep and finally to much more pricey resin kits that take a considerable amount of skill.
I'd start with acrylic paints like Tamiya's that are easy to use and clean up and then work my way up to enamel paints, which are less forgiving (and produce much more toxic fumes) than acrylics.

When I have time, I'm hoping to go the same route as you, try building some kits and learn to paint.

Sash, just hire TrueFaith or Blindzider. They both took a sculpting class from "the Man" himself!
