Default Marvel Premiere Collection: Captain America

A Diamond Select Toys release! The Marvel Premier Collection keeps living up to its name, with the world's premier sculptors rendering Marvel's premier characters! This time, renowned sculptor Clayburn Moore captures Captain America in an iconic pose, inspired by classic Jim Steranko artwork from the cover of Captain America #111. Measuring over 12" tall, this resin statue is limited to only 3,000 pieces, and comes packaged in a full-color box with a hand-numbered certificate of authenticity.

Release Date: November 29, 2017

While I appreciate them trying capture an iconic pic of Cap, I'm going to pass on this one.

Not bad. I actually bought Diamond Select Toys Spider-Man Classic Pvc Figure from Amazon, yet to open it. I believe they are trying to be consistent in 9" scale range.

I was tempted when I saw the title, but I don't like it. It just doesn't look quite right...

I do like what they're trying to do with this line though.

I think it's a decent representation of Steranko's art, but the stance is unnecessarily wide, which results in that wide base which is very bland.

Well, the base is very reminiscent of the first Bowen Cap statue with the sandstone colored base. I think the pose is okay and I like that it was modeled after a very classic cover but I think the statue looks a little on the smallish side standing atop a huge base. Maybe in person it will look a little more impressive

Hoping for a Phase 6 with FS Statues of the following

  • Moondragon
  • Mantis
  • Wonder Man (in the Perez Designed costume)
  • Havok (need a new one in his classic costume because the existing one is too expensive on Ebay)
  • The Red Guardian (The Defenders member-this one is a longshot)
  • and a REALLY GOOD Phoenix Museum pose

Big Steranko fan and it's great to see Clayburn Moore doing Marvel again, so I like it.
I just sent this to a non-statue-collecting friend who's also a big Steranko fan and he totally freaked out.
