Default Marvel Gallery Phoenix

I'm not even that big of a Jean Grey/Phoenix fan, but that base and that pose..

Slated for a July release, the $39.99 pre-order price will be hard to resist.

I don't love it, but I like it and at that price I might have to see how it looks in person...

Do not like the face or the hair. Looks like it could be a Medusa wig.

Everything looks really great about this piece except for the face. A little too anime for my taste. This is starting to be a very interesting line of statues though.

I still want a Jean Grey in this costume for my collection, but sadly this isn't it: too much hair, don't need the extra..."titillation", and during this time she was a little troubled controlling her powers, so I'd prefer her to have a more worried look (nitpicky, I know).

For that price, is this 1/10 scale?

for me, I do not like the face or the hair. Now I know she was always drawn with big hair but this is a little bit too much. Also the face looks to juvenile. I do not have a problem with the body pose and I do think that the colors looks fantastic though.

Hoping for a Phase 6 with FS Statues of the following

  • Moondragon
  • Mantis
  • Wonder Man (in the Perez Designed costume)
  • Havok (need a new one in his classic costume because the existing one is too expensive on Ebay)
  • The Red Guardian (The Defenders member-this one is a longshot)
  • and a REALLY GOOD Phoenix Museum pose

It's bigger, but I'm not sure what scale it is.

It's meant to compete with Kotobukiya's ArtFX+ line which is 1/10 (7.5-8 inches). These are supposedly closer to around 9 inches.

Kotobukiya definitely has the better paint apps, but these have far more interesting bases and probably more bang-per-buck, what with the ArtFX+ line averaging $60 nowadays.

...Interesting. Good for the price, but the face and hair could use a little work. Also IMO the costume is a bit too figure-hugging, if you know what I mean. The base is cool though!
