Found some time to get the upper body base coated and shaded, I masked off Wolvie's face with bare metal foil, this is the first time I used this method and am pretty pleased with the ease of use, we'll see how clean the lines turn out after I mask off and airbrush the mask flaps and stripes, hopefully this weekend. Thanks for looking!, JB

got some time last night for some airbrushing, masked off Logan's face and torso, the shot 3 coats of Americana ebony black acylic, I let the paint dry overnight then removed the masking material this morning. I'm very happy with the results. Theres a few spots I'll need to touch up, but overall the lines came out very clean, REALLY happy I stayed with going with the black stripes ( I was very close to changing to the dark blues for the mask and stripes. I'll be doing the trunks and boot trim soon as well as the claws, after that FINAL ASSEMBLY! thanks again for looking!

Thanks Don, this project has been on hold since I started to help take care of my grandpa, but I am going to start putting the finishing touches on him very soon. I will continue/conclude this thread as I make my final progress on this, thanks again for looking!

I was inspired by this thread to get this kit for myself. Found one on eBay, unopened and in perfect condition. I've never seen a kit like this before, so I'll using this thread to guide myself through the assembly.

I think I'm going to modify the 'ears' on the mask to look more like how John Byrne drew him.

I did one of these a couple of years ago, but I used the yellow & brown costume color scheme.
I love these Horizon kits. The larger scale is much fun to work on.
After I did the Dark Phoenix and Hulk ones I started filling the bottom half of the kits with Plaster of Paris to give them a little more weight and "heft". Otherwise they're annoyingly light and unless you have them secured to a base of some sort they tend to fall over at the slightest provocation.
