A few Mondo pic ups. Technically the Turtle isn't a statue, and no this isn't where he will be displayed. Soon there should be plenty of space to display him . . . I'm listing the sale thread soon I swear.

The Hellboy is perfect with two exceptions. The gun (which you can't see in the pic) doesn't fit his hole as well as the dagger. I'm sure I can fix this. The other issue with Mondo. No edition numbers. Nonetheless, very awesome.

Smug mug changed something making it harder to post pics . . . stand by

Sash's Bowen Collection Thread

If you see the collection thread in new posts, it's because new pics have been added.

Very cool...!

What's the story behind this particular Hellboy statue? I don't think I've ever recalled an incarnation of Hellboy looking like that...but then again, I'm only familiar with Mignola's version....

If I'm not mistaken, that's the very first image of Hellboy in comic form.

This version was never in a comic. Like the turtle, this was the first incarnation.

The turtle was Eastman doodling a character just for fun and calling it a ninja turtle . . . then we get TMNT

The Hellboy is much the same. This is based off the first sketch Mignola ever did of Hellboy, before he knew how the character was or would become or had a comic in the works. It was an idea he had so he sketched a character and then we get Hellboy. This statue is that sketch.

Nice pickups Sash.

Take your time with the listings...still recovering from some recent pick ups and pre orders.

A quick post: A known, some small surprises . . . and a big surprise!

Reorganized a cap display:

Like these Q figs. The talk bubbles come with a dry erase marker so you can write whatever you want:

I'll post another thread for the commission and put the link here, but here's a tease:

Love the two sabertooth, which do you like better the bowen or sideshow?

The sideshow is most impressive, but the Bowen will always hold a special spot. It was one of the first ones I ordered from Bowen. I had some preorders already logged in but only had a few Bowen's at the time from eBay so I bought him for the sole purpose of finally having a direct order arrive (I was too impatient on my preorders then, now, I can wait years without batting an eye). I remember taking the Bowen out of the box and saying "wow he's huge!!" how things have changed!

Been getting into this recently . . . much cheaper than statues . . . and not as many funny looks from collectors.

That's quite the omnibus collection! A few in there I don't have myself. Looking forward to seeing what you add next. Btw, I use IKEAs expedit shelves for my books due to the heavy weight. They're modular squares so not too much of a span between supports. No sagging of shelves that way and they're relatively handsome. I have a 5x5, 4x4, and a 2x4 for all my books and various other collectibles. Just an idea for all the omnibus and book collectors out there. Sorry to hijack your thread.

To be honest, I think when talking about storage and display option in any thread is never hijacking it

And say Erik I think a few of those books used to be in my collection - LOL

Hoping for a Phase 6 with FS Statues of the following

Nighthawk
Mockingbird
Moondragon
Mantis
The Red Guardian (The Defenders member-this one is a longshot)
and a REALLY GOOD Phoenix Museum Pose statue

I always put my omnibus books on the bottom shelf which is directly above the floor in my office so no sagging that way.....but then I don't have as many as Matlock here.

BTW, that series is called Kallax now. Once my room is done I think that's what I'm going to go with for the reasons you mentioned. I may add some support underneath them to raise them up a little. Don't really like that bottom shelf sitting on the floor.

We need an update to your collection room, Erik. I know you've let a few pieces go and added some. What's that fantastic room looking like now? Any more lego sets?

Third. I'm more curious to see how the Bowen stuff has been reduced after all the selling...

Despite selling stuff, it looks as though you still have some great figs.

In one of your pictures, it looks like a family photo, did you draw moustaches on everyone? I don't know why it caught my eye...
