Ceiling has been painted and all the lights put back up. Found a few spots on the wall I wanted to fix before I started painting. Hopefully have at least a couple walls done this weekend.

The room itself is fully painted now and I'm very pleased with the color. It's the same as the other room except this time it's "matte" instead of "eggshell". That slightly less shine darkened the color to more what I was looking for.

Next step is to paint the door to the outside, add some trim around the window and doorways then have the floor put in.

It already looks fantastic and I do like that shade of green. What did you decide with the flooring.

Hoping for a Phase 6 with FS Statues of the following

  • Moondragon
  • Mantis
  • Wonder Man (in the Perez Designed costume)
  • Havok (need a new one in his classic costume because the existing one is too expensive on Ebay)
  • The Red Guardian (The Defenders member-this one is a longshot)
  • and a REALLY GOOD Phoenix Museum pose

Thanks! It's going to be the same as the front room: a dark brown, engineered bamboo. When I hired the installer they also measured this room and I went ahead and bought all of the materials. Today I'll give them a call to schedule them to finish.

As much as I like the dark floor, right now it was a horrible choice with all the dust. Now that the construction is done, hopefully that will be minimized.

Flooring has been installed! I also put in the trim around the window. All that's left is baseboard and more trim around the doors. I'll probably start hanging stuff on the walls soon...

Nice! I think the shade of green matches well with your floor tiles.
By any chance did you do a time lapse video of the renovation process?

Love the dark floors. Is that a secret passage way in the second pic?

Wow, lots of work, Blindzider! Looks fab. Great choice of colours. I have to agree with the matte paint, shiny is distracting. Looking forward to seeing the ends results. Slowly but surely.

Sadly no, but I did try to take progress shots from the same angles. When I'm done maybe I'll do an animated gif or before/after comparisons.

It is. Just a little cuby hole really. During the construction I discovered the space and put the access way in "just in case". Because the space is on the exterior of the house, nothing valuable can really go out there due to humidity and temperatures. Unfortunately, I also didn't make the door the right size (doh) so it doesn't close. Redoing that is on the list but not a priority right now.

In the next few weeks, I'll throw up a few pics of various stuff as I put them up. Tune in next week!

That'll be the last thing to reveal unfortunately. I'm going to have to make these framed acrylic windows that are going to be pretty expensive and I'm still not sure how I'm going to do it yet.

But I must say, ripping down the plastic covering and turning on the lights to see all of my statues again was thrilling.

Couple quick pics of some new display stuff:

I had all this miscellaneous BD stuff and just put it into a shadow box. It's on the wall to the right of the Marvel sign. Apologies for the very noisy/grainy iphone pic.

I've been trying to figure out a way to get the BD logo up and came up with this T-Shirt in a shadow box. Came out pretty well, if I do say so myself.

Great additions. I have the Bowen posters and stickers I’m going to incorporate into my display as well.

Looking forward to seeing how you display them. I just grabbed a leftover shadowbox and through them in there.

Here's an update to one of the walls in the room. I have one new piece of art to put up on the left side but otherwise this is it. Still some room for expansion...

Thanks! Still working on the DC wall. Unfortunately I got laid off yesterday so I can't really spend the money to finish it off.
