PICS - Size does not matter... The Mighty Ant-Man FS!

I have today received my Ant-Man FS and I am very happy with it!
I have been able to add the regular version of Ant-Man to my collection and what makes this statue extra special to me is that this is my first AP statue.
Ever since I bought the Yellowjacket FS I have always longed for the Ant-Man FS and I am really excited that this small superhero has found his way home.
To me Ant-Man has always be the classic kind of hero who despite or perhaps thanks to his size was never afraid to take on villains who were much bigger or more powerful than him.
You do not have to be as big as Hulk or Thor to fight for what is right and stand up for what you believe in and to me Ant-Man has always been the living embodiment of that.
I have been a big fan of Bowen Designs ever since I got caught by this great hobby and IMHO Ant-Man is definitely one of the greatest pieces so far.
The base to start with is beautifully sculpted as a quarter dollar coin giving a true impression of the small height of Ant-Man when he has shrunk down.
The statue itself is equally beautiful showing Ant-Man in a cool and powerful stance and the helmet is truly a thing of beauty.
I have got ants in my pants but this time I do not matter it one bit!
I have taken some pics of Ant-Man which I will post below. The pics are a bit dark but I hope you will enjoy them nevertheless.
Before we go to the pics though I would like to shout a big 'THANK YOU!' to GMan who enable me to add this great statue to my collection.

A short update on Ant-Man
Powers and abilities
Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym was a brilliant scientist who spent much of his time in his lab.
At one point, he met and married the beautiful Maria Trovaya. Unfortunately, when travelling in her home country of Bratislavia, she was captured by revolutionaries, and, despite Pym's efforts, she was killed.
One day he discovered a process in which he would manipulate a newly discovered group of subatomic particles through magnetic fields.
Pym tested the serums on himself, and had accidentally shrunk himself to the size of an ant and was trapped inside an anthill.
Once normal sized, Pym destroyed the serums, thinking that they were too dangerous .
He rethought his decision, and recreated the serums, dubbing them "Pym Particles" and developing a formula that would enable himself to shrink and return to normal size.
He also worked on a cybernetic helmet to enable him to communicate and study ants.
Pym was also working on behalf of the government to find to work on a formula to help provide immunity to low-level radiation.
It was then that several Soviet KGB Agents broke in, attempting to kill Pym and destroy his work. Pym donned the cybernetic helmet and newly designed protective suit, shrank himself, and escaped outside, to the anthill.
There, he gained control of the ants, and attacked the agents and freed his assistants.
Pym began to adventure as the hero Ant-Man, often running up against the villain Egghead.
Using a gaseous form of "Pym particles" kept in a compartment in his belt, Ant-Man had the power to shrink himself (and other people and objects along with himself) to the size of an ant and return to normal.
His cybernetic helmet allowed rudimentary telepathic communication with insects, and was equipped with sound amplification equipment allowing normal-sized humans to hear him.
The helmet also had a retractable plexiglass face shield and a limited air supply.
When wearing the suit, he could lift more than 4 times his weight.
Ant-Man required exposure to the "reducing gas" and "enlarging gas" in order to change size.
Ant-Man can also shrink to sub-microscopic size, and thereby enter the countless "subatomic universes".

Nothing can stop The Juggernaut... NOTHING!
the Ant-Man deluxe FS is truly out of this world and if I would have had the chance I would have definitely considered it.
As it is though I am very happy with the regular version and might add the Wasp FS to my colection later.
I am more of an X-Men fan than an Avengers fan but I think Janet and Hank would look great together! LD
