Waiting for my headliner
So i get a shipping notice from my comic book statue dealer...he tells me my statue is on its way.
I don't have enough display space in my house to display everything i have, so i rotate my display every so often.
With the release of the movie, and the statue on its way, here is my latest set up. no need to give the punchline since its pretty obvious who's missing (hint: red/blue leaping of wall, and full of nemisis debris on base.)
P.S. so excited to get this one! This is the first time i ever posted a collections pic. wow, what a coincidence, my user ID phonetically spells the hero I admire most!
k.

Wow very nice! Looks like you're only missing like 6 major Spidey villains and you've got them all! Ones missing that come to mind are Hobgoblin, Rhino, Shocker, Chameleon, Morbius, and Hydro-Man. (7 if you wanna throw in Kingpin). Very nice display! I was going to get all the Spidey villains but I've decided to draw the line at Spidey, Venom, and possibly Carnage. Might get Black Cat and MJ for kicks. But awesome display!

thx for the compliments my fellow members.
btw...did anybody notice the iron spiderman statue? it is a 1 of a kind commissioned piece. my sculptor was also working w/ randy bowen to see if it could get picked up, but i wasn't in on the discussion so i don't know the details. obviously it didn't work out.
randy provided some art direction on the sculpt...he asked for the mechanical arms to go for a more "organic" look and the positioning of cap's shield and iron man's helmet.
so it counts as "half" a bowen piece in my eyes.

Did you make a topper for your detolfs? If so I REALLY like it. It ties them together while being unobtrusive.
Great display you have. I LOVE IT!

Thx for the compliments...not sure what you meant by topper, but I didn't make anything specific.
One thing I did do is remove the glass panels between the detolfs...look at the pics...you can see the empty "slits" on the base and as well as the top wooden panels. The reason I did this is so I can accomodate more statues non display. Each "row" can hold 6-8 pieces without the glass being in the way! I had other setups in the past where i took advantage of this. the current "spidey" setup doesn't need it though...

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Looking closer, it looks like you just have a piece of molding connecting the tops of the detolfs. If so it looks really nice from the angle of your pictures.

oh ok, i see what you are talking about....yes, I added a molding! Good eyes!
When I removed the glass panels, it created more space, but the detolfs were more wobbly. so the molding helped stabilize it. =)
