Indeed.

No matter the pose - Museum, Action, or something in between - Simonson's Battle Armor is awesome. A full-figure BAT statue would be incredible.

You posted a bunch of great pics. Here are a few more to complement them.

My thoughts exactly. A Malekith bust (original Simonson style) to go with Kurse would be quite nice. Malekith comes across as some kind of bizarre Elric with a little David Bowie from Labyrinth thrown in!

Randy,
I don't have time to post a pic, but I think Gonzo or Peepschicken nailed it. You stated before you also were inclined to do a Modern Action Thor FS to compliment the Classic. One of those poses is it. Probably the Peepschicken image (more action oriented). I'd love to see the same level of detail as the Classic, hammer swing, etc, just...Modern. You might even be able to have him swinging the hammer downward and kill two birds with one stone to satisfy your kneeling pose desire? Just a thought.

I'll add my vote for battle armor Thor on an Avengers base. I'd prefer a more museum pose at some point whether that point is now or sometime in the future.

In the old days, when either entity (Thor or Don Blake) struck their hammer/cane on the ground, they would transform into the other.

I'm wondering if RB could design the kneeling hammer slamming into the ground to somehow incorporate Don Blake into the pose?

A striking transformation pose! And I can just picture Randy pulling his hair out trying to figure out how to do it

funny you should ask because the other I was looking at a Thor pic and I thought to myself now THIS would make a perfect and awesome Statue.
let me get the image ASAP.

I really think this is an iconic pose and also a perfect pose for a statue. It combines the museum THor with BD's first Thor.

It beautifully displays the character in his full glory. Hammer raised high, cape flowing, full body view.

otherwise, I too agree that This is image is equally iconic, and perhaps the only other Thor I would purchase besides the above.

I will probably never see it, but I imagine a statue that kind of relates to your kneeling idea. Similar to the statue of Ant Man changing size (with multiple figures), and a statue I remember with Bruce Banner changing into the Hulk, I would love a Classic statue with a kneeling Don Blake striking his cane to the ground, and Thor with hammer in hand standing behind him. I don't have access to any of those photo storage sites, so I can't post a picture. But I think you can imagine it from my description. That would be an awesome Thor statue.

I agree this would make a great pose. Who remembers this from the Mead folder series too?

hey Rome this pose of Thor was already done by HH. it's very close to it, except Thor is looking more to the sky.

oh really? I'll look it up. Betting it doesn't have the Bowen touch though.

Yeah,..no,.. I just looked it up and yeah I remember that piece. with all due respect to the sculptor this iMHO is far from that posted image. yes, of course very similar but in Randy's hand they would be completely different statues.

Besides the sculpt quality I'd say the detail of having the left arm extended forward rather than simply up and the position of the head would make them way different.

I vote for the kneeling/striking pose but I think it would be even cooler if you had lightning or a thunder bolt striking out of the hammer in one of those weird translucent color materials you have (like on Firelord, Hydro Man, etc).
