Wow...!!! For second there I thought it was going to be the Marvel character...!!!
Who, this guy? Talk about obscure characters.
No, not a Marvel character, but Randy mentioned we'd be able to order this from BD and I thought people would like a look at it before it goes on sale....which I hope happens soon.
I want one too, but I though these were SUPER limited like 25 or something? I would hope he upped it so that more people can get in on it.
It is going to a good cause and it is FB so I have to get it.
Does anyone remember what Bowen estimated the edition size at?
I don't think that's correct, cp. It wouldn't make much sense to try and raise money for a good cause like the Wounded Warrior Project by only selling 25 of these. The "portion of the proceeds" on only 25 would pale in comparison to what could be raised with an edition size of 1000, 2000 or an open-ended edition size.
I believe Randy said these would be available for servicemen to purchase at PX's and there are certainly more than 25 of those around the country. I'm sure we'll get more details soon, but I think Randy wants to market these primarily to our men and women in uniform, not us hard-core super hero statue collectors.
I'd think something like this would sell really well in a PX just as an "impulse" buy to servicemen passing through. It's a stunning piece and Randy does "noble" better than any sculptor working today.
I'm thinking this would make a terrific gift for someone you know who's serving or has served in the military.
It would also be an awesome Father's Day present.
I may have to buy a few extras and sock 'em away.

You're probably correct. For some reason I thought he made incredibly few. That may have just been for the desktop sneak. It would certainly make more sense to produce as many of these as possible as they are going to a good cause.
