I agree that Kingpin's head is a bit too small & looking at his Spidey appearances his head is larger but also wider & flatter. The intense expression fits those appearances. Admittedly in more recent appearances his head has gotten smaller. I like the Spidey mask since Kingpin is originally a Spidey foe before becoming a major DD opponent. Of course they could have a Spidey & DD mask under his cane.

It's really weird. As this is is actually happening after I've wanted it for so long. It's kinda of surreal, but you can't imagine how happy I am. Kingpin is one of the biggest villains at Marvel so it's about time he got a FS statue. Long overdue.

So has this image been tweaked? I had an issue with the head being on the small side,.. while I think the head may be just a bit bigger still, I am not having the same issue as before. This is of course a much bigger picture but has it been tweaked.

I'm not sure if that image was tweaked, but I don't think it was. I think since it's a closer shot you can see more of the details and proportions.

Overall, it's looking great. Now, comes the waiting game until I own this. Gah.

No, that head is way too small. Seriously, Randy, please fix that. With all due respect to the artist; Artistic interpretation is one thing but when the Kingpin of crime looks like Beetlejuice, a change needs to be made.

Only in the movies. Kinda like what happened to Nick Fury.

Kingpin is way down on my "want" list, but I sure am happy for the people who have been waiting for this for so long. I'm sure RB is happy he won't be hearing "where's Kingpin?" every other day too.

No, originally he was white in the original Marvel Comic Universe. They created a new universe, instead of a 52 reeboot like DC, called the Ultimate. In this alternate area, he was black and ran shield.

As normal, when movies become popular, Marvel starts creeping things into the main Marvel universe.

In the regular Marvel Universe they retired White Fury, created a Black Fury and made him the original's son.

The movies borrowed fromm both, but are edging closer and closer to the Ultimate line of the Marvel Universe.

Yeah, I'm one of those who would constantly ask about Kingpin. It feels great having that weight off my shoulders and not having to ask anymore. About time the big man gets some respect.

This is not for me although I'm shocked how many people would even consider buying this before it's an actual physical product.

There are only two things I need to know.

1)It's the Kingpin
2)Being done by Kdawg

That's all you really need to know. Favorite character, being done by a great artist?

'Nuff Said.

Are we getting mask options? I think the head is fine His body is supposed to be large like that, he's always been on the thicker/rounder side. He doesn't need some huge head to match the body. I'm sure his neck will be thick, we're only seeing one side of him now.

Did you start reading comics in the 90's? That was when the pinhead syndrome began and it sucked then and it sucks now.

If you go to the pre-order on Bowens site it says it comes with both masks. One for the Spider-Man fans and one for the Daredevil fans.

As for his head, I think it's fine.

I'm holding out in hopes for a black suit, more modern version.

This is more what I would be interested in. No interest in the current digital version - too many things seem off (to my tastes) from scale to overall look.

Here are some more constructive comments:

1 - He seems a bit too tall
2 - head should be slightly wider/bigger
3 - the coat is too long and too tight around his shoulders (he is The Kingpin and would have impeccable tailoring and the tightness around the shoulders would be a sign of a poorly fitted jacket).

Again, I am just sharing my personal opinions as part of the fun dialogue that this board represents.

I think once people see the final product they will relax a bit.

Besides Dr.Doom there is no other character I would want a statue of more than the Kingpin. I'm a huge Kingpin fan and if there is any design I would be overly critcal over it's the Kingpin.

I really don't see the complaints over the head. If you look at the Romita Jr. picture above, that's the way the character looks.

The only minor complaint I have is that the jacket should be tighter around the wrists, but besides that, it's a great rendtion of the character.

I'm pretty damn excited.
