Hi all. No word back from BD on this question yet so I thought I'd toss it out here. I'm in Toronto, Canada and I want to order the new iceman FS. Do they ship to Canada? If not, do other Canadians have any advice on how they get their statues? Thx!
We usually only carry website exclusives, but sometimes we will carry the regular items as well. As far as Iceman goes, he will be available to any comic shop in Canada.
What Al said! Bowen has contractual obligations and can only sell through their website to the U.S.of A.
I live in London, Ontario.
My LCS usually gets all the Bowen regular statues.
For Website Exclusives, I've bought from Statue Marvels: Yellow and Blue Goliath Statue and Hydro-Man MB plus 4 others on order [5 if they get extra and I'm on the wait list ]
While I haven't done this, there are also members on this site who might get you statues and ship to you once they get to know you and build a rapport with you
I too had this problem, as Canadian customers could never benfit from the savings to be had in the Bowen Designs Collectors Club. What I found worked for me was to have a US address over the border and have everything ship there. UPS stores do not require to have a continuous monthly post office box, all that is required is $5 per item, and they will hold it for you for something like 5 days. Hope that helps.

I actually hadn't considered this an option. Another way to do it for those living in Southern Ontario, if we can register with BD based on a Canadian-addressed credit card, is to have it shipped to CBI in Niagara Falls NY (CBI USA | US Mailbox Rental & US Shipping Address Services). They are a shipping/holding facility across the border, run by Canadians to help us with these shipping issues. My brother and I use them often and have stuff shipped there. There is a $6/item fee if you are not a member, but they will hold it pretty much indefinately if needed. You just drive down, give your name or tracking number from USPS/UPS/FE/etc, pay your fee and away you go. VERY simple and easy.
I just don't know if you have to have a US-based credit card with BD to be eligible to purchase?

Hi Gambit. Thanks for what seems like a great option! With regards to your question, I found this in cbi's FAQ section:
Q: How do I use my Canadian Credit Card to make US purchases? How can I purchase from online US retailers and have them ship packages to a US address that doesn't match my credit card's Canadian home address?
A: Call bank that issued your credit card and make request to add a secondary address to your file (use CBI’s US Shipping Address). It is that easy, you can now use your Canadian credit card for US purchases. To avoid all possible shipping restrictions without opening up a US bank account, CBI recommends signing up for a US prepaid credit/debit visa/master card — no credit checks, no debt, no late fees, shop safely online, & many other features & benefits.
