Anyone bought from Starstore online site before?

I was looking for some old gentle giant and Bowen statues, found that their website is still selling classic museum captain America and Thor at the released retail price. Their website looks like it's not updated because the "new" stuff they selling is kind of outdated. I want to buy some statues from them but not sure if they are still operating or even to be trusted. Any advice please?

I've never used that site before but I've run into issues with sites that have the same description you gave. Look for a "contact us" button and send an email. That's the best advice I can give; wouldn't be cool to give your payment/personal info to a site that might not be legit.

I have sent 2 emails but no response. Nevermind, I will keep searching. Thanks alot for your help! Being a new collector, there's a big "backlog" of nice statues I have missed, and noticed the price has gone up alot.

Cool...just happen to see this thread. My coworker showed me this starstore website today and I told him the exact same thing Cpt America just mentioned...better to contact them first to check for validity. I made a mistake going through a site that did not update their items for sale and it took almost three months and a lot of obstacles/headaches to get my money order payment returned.

Thanks to your thread I can tell my coworker to avoid...he's another newbie! Lol!

Star store is in the UK and their website is less than up to date ie "expected shipping date 2007" etc
I've never ordered from them so I can't say for certain but I have avoided sites like theirs for sometime.

Your best bet for older pieces would be either here, eBay or an LCS find. If you missed pre orders from BD put yourself on the wait list. There is always the Statue Marvels store, Sideshow, BBTS, Most Wanted Collectibles just to name a few.
