I've worked for the same company for almost 25 year's, and yes I'm happy to have been working for such a longtime, but now my employer's, a very big American corporation see me as a 'loss". Pension, Insurance and just "over paid" ha. They want "temp's" in almost every position, no benefit's and less then $9.00 an hour? wtf.
So their going to "phase" me and my co-worker's out, cutting our help, and just aggravating us until we're all gone.
I work in a factory, a production line, at the sweetest place on earth, if you know where I mean, in Pa..
Well truth be told, it's far from it, a big corporation has only one plan, keep the "suit's" fat asses happy. Multi-million dollar salarie's, huge bonus's and stock bonus's, plus whatever else they get that we'll never know about?
They tell us they just don't have anything more to give to us, can't afford a miniscule raise, and I mean like .25 cent a hour per year, and then post multi-million dollar profit's each quarter, sound's like RomBot territory.
But then again, I get taxed to death, so Obama can "redistribute" my money, yes to the lazy MFer's, and the one's from another part of the world who are "entitled to my tax dollar's who never worked a day in the U.S.
I know I'm not even middle class or maybe I never was, but now who know's what I'll be labeled as, all I know is I'm losing more and more every year, and when it comes my turn to retire or need medical care, there won't be anything left for me, just frustrated in all of this.
I've voted for as long as I can remember, but this is the first one where I just feel as though it doesn't matter who's in there, they take and take, and there's no brake for American worker's anywhere. If you have a job, your the one paying for everything, and the corporation's just sit on there pile of gold.
sorry for the rant, but does anyone in our Capital really care.?

I feel your pain bro! Thats how i think and its really true. I used to work in walmart as a manager and they did the same thing. Started hiring temps and getting rid of the old folks. It sucks..
The bigger news is the people of Washington State can now legally smoke some marijuana and relax after tonight. To bad the rest of the US can't.
Same here in Massachusetts.
This election was a triumph over ignorance on many different levels.
I've been waiting for the GOP's obstructionist tactics of the last 4 years to play out and it's nice to see it bit them squarely on the ass.
It's gratifying to see that the average American saw through their agenda of blaming Obama for everything while doing nothing to advance programs and bills that people desperately need.

You still can't smoke weed in those states recreationally. It's still against federal law to do so.
What new legislation did Obama try to enact besides Obamacare which he himself needs to be restructured?
He didn't enact a new budget? He didn't even try. Some of the senators did, but it was all fights between democrats and GOP. Both didn't compromise. They are equally to blame. And it's funny how you didn't mention the Blue Dog Democrats who were all against Obama
Believe me this wasn't a vote really for Obama - it was a vote against Romney. It was a mandate that I'll vote for you but something better start getting better.

1) Holder needs to resign- he's a hate mongerer who doesn't do his job
2) Geitner - has done terrible things to our economy he needs to resign
3) Hillary/Panetta - whoever falls on the sword must resign for Benghazi
4) Obamacare - a couple of parts are good - some of it needs to be overhauled - its too expensive and taxes too much on the working class
We can't stay the course. We need some action. You now need to prove you are a leader and make some hard decisions and in act some real legislation

Well that will be interesting to see what happens next. If the feds pushes this then the states that have legalized pot will take it to the Supreme Court. More likely using the tenth amendment of the Constitution.
"Powers not granted to the federal government by the Constitution, nor prohibited to the States, are reserved to the States or the people."
The people in two states have spoken. They want Marijuana sold and taxed like alcohol.
Medical Marijuana has been sold in my state for a few years, and the feds have not busted anyone for it. So I would be surprise if the feds start busting people in Washington state or Colorado.

What the governors has said is that they will try to harsh down the penalties or something.
What the governors has said is that they will try to harsh down the penalties or something.
I live next to Washington so here is what I've been told.
"The elimination of penalties for possessing up to an ounce of marijuana (if you are 21 or older) will take effect right away in both states (once the governor certifies the results, within 30 days of the election). The commercial production and sale of cannabis will be written during the next year. The Washington Liquor Control Board has until December 1, 2013, to adopt regulations for marijuana growers, wholesalers, processors, and retailers. "
The experiments on which Colorado and Washington are embarking will be instructive for the entire country, not just in terms of drug policy, but also in terms of defining the boundary between state and federal power.
“The voters have spoken and we have to respect their will,” Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) said after the vote. “This will be a complicated process, but we intend to follow through. That said, federal law still says marijuana is an illegal drug, so don’t break out the Cheetos or goldfish too quickly.”
And so may misinformed think the GOP is the one stopping marijuana usage, but here you go from MSNBC
“Once these states actually try to implement these laws, we will see an effort by the feds to shut it down,” Sabet said. “We can only guess now what exactly that would look like, but the recent U.S. Attorney actions against medical marijuana portends an aggressive effort to stop state-sponsored growing and selling at the outset.”
Quote:
Obama has cracked down harder on medical marijuana than any president to come before him, argues Rob Kampia, the executive director of the Marijuana Policy Project. In the 17 states where medical marijuana is legal, U.S. Attorneys have enlisted the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to take down hundreds of pot shops in just a few short years, Reuters reported.

I look forward to the day that people admit Bush's major role in the weak economy
First, congrats to you and all my other left leaning friends. Much to my surprise we (the American electorate) basically decided that we want the policies, whether labeled this way or not, of European socialism. Possibly more on this later if anyone wants to discuss it but to your post.
I don't know what you are talking about. Well over half of voters say that they STILL blame this bad economy primarily on Bush which is one reason I think Obama got a Mulligan on it. If anything Bush is seen as THE major reason for the economy even now. Which is odd to me. I know now Bubba and the Obama campaign are running around saying nobody realized how bad it was (as if there are secret economic numbers that nobody but the president can see) and nobody could have turned it around but I seem to remember Joe Biden promising 450,000 jobs per month in his recovery summer of 2010, when that didn't happen he predicted a recovery summer again and didn't get it.
I would ask you the question in reverse, we all know he inherited a rough economy no matter who is predominantly responsible for it when he got it but when if ever does it become his? Does he get to blame Bush indefinitely and then when American business ingenuity despite his obstacles is able to achieve a meager growth and perhaps a 6.5% unemployment rate he takes credit for it?
