They must have rules up the wazoo. Apparently I had broken some rule about model kits. I don't know what I could have posted that would have been so bad to warrant a banning.
I'm not going back to the Statue Forum. I feel like I got a slap in the face.
Just to make sure I'm ok... I'm going to review the rules on all the forums I visit.
That forum is the only one that I hear negative things about. This is the only comic related forum I go to, but I do frequent another forum (BBQ Brethren) and that place is awesome just like here.
When I was there, the rules changed depending on who you were on the forum.
Pretty funny. Don't sweat it. Actually, I'm not on any forum very much, but I choose place where being civil to one another and everyone is treated the same a priority
Since I'm not going back, it doesn't matter. Then again, post count doesn't matter to me. I don't comment on many things because I only comment on things I care about. Not really a DC, SW, Transformers, LOTR, GI JOE, Lego, Anime/Manga, Sports, Disney, Indiana Jones, Freddy Kruger, Jason, Buffy, or gaming fan.

Speaking of bans...I noticed yesterday that Oddball got banned from here...!? What happened? I noticed a change in him towards BD products, but must have missed what got him banned.

I think OB's problem was he thought Statue Marvels was a democracy and he could say anything he wanted because he was protected by the first amendment. Statue Marvels was created by Al and Gene and they determine what is allowed here, not the Constitution of The United States of America.
His constant need to play brinksmanship games with Al and other members became tiring as did the constant warnings that had to be sent his way by the mods to repect the opinions of other people on the forum.
One day he simply crossed the line and posted something we all felt was insulting to the professionals that contribute so generously of their time here. Given that he was already on "probationary status" from earlier transgressions it was determined that banning him permanently was our only option since he had vigorously resisted all attempts to rehabilitate him.
I don't think I've ever seen so many warnings given to an SM member since I've been here. He was given every opportunity to correct his attitude towards SM and it's members over quite a long period. Basically he's no longer here because he chose to ignore those warnings and then forced our hand by attempting to insult the pros here as well as the rank-and-file SM members who were always complaining about him.
just saw your post on SF. first rule of fight club...
looks like you didn't the rules about kit talk.

yeah everyone can show their pictures of the same kit so its obvious that kits are being made but you can't say anything in words about it. Never made sense to me.
But, like I said, how many chances you get for doing that depends on who you are on that forum. You know that as well as I.
It makes sense. Ive seen the same posts here like "PM if you have any questions", and im sure the Mods here would no tolerate talk of sales and pricing of unlicensed statues publicly.

I understand, but don't you see where I'm coming from?
Me and 5 other people show finished pictures of the same kit on the forum? Kind of the same thing to me. It's obvious what is going down.
