Default Marvel NOW!: Uncanny Avengers Discussions

Issue one comes out tomorrow! Anyone else picking it up? I'll be reading this title, but mostly just for the Uncanny side. I really don't care about the Avengers. But I'll be happy to get my Rogue fix and also great to see Havok in such a leading role! Especially after the fallout of what happened with his brother, Cyclops, in AvX.

I Love Uncanny, but I decided to leave MArvel alone. I have NEVER dropped Hulk, so that, X-Factor and the 1-5 punisher mini will be all for Marvel.

I'm done with the BS!!! FInd some leadership folks who can create/write/edit stories without mega-events, tie-ins, and need 3 or 4 issues to complete a storyline. Never seen a company that has such a great history of storytelling crap on itself. Next it will be the great "Breakup of the Avengers/Xmen"....or better yet the Movie will be out in abut 2 years. This will go the same way the Amazing Spider Man went when the destroyed MJ and Peter's marriage. Never was the same book, though I like Dan Slott abilities.

I surprisingly liked it. The last page was stretchy but I'm in for more.

What did you think about the spontaneous costume changes? I like that Rogue and Havok are back to variations of two of their cooler incarnations, but it happened without explanation. All of a sudden Havok is wearing this old/new costume. I do like the choices of costume though.

I actually really enjoyed this! And I loved Avalanche's line "The mutants are back!" I'm also excited to see Havok leading the team! I wonder how everything will play out with Cyclops, though... I can't have my favorite X-Man locked up in jail TOO long. I need him front and center in a book.

Too much Mutant crap in the book. I don't care. Leave that stuff in its own book.

I did like the last page.

The Red Skull looks like he just came from Mars, which is cool:

Does anyone else wonder why we have to go back to the 40's and get another Skull (as is supposed to be the case in this story) instead of just ressurecting the Red Skull who currently resides in the present time?

Anyone? Anyone?

Looks like my concerns about the costume have been addressed in the final issue of X-factor's Breaking Points storyline:

This was a great storyline!

I was wondering how this would fit into the AvX continuity and now I get that these 5 days happened after that storyline. This was a great bridge for Havok from AvX to Uncanny Avengers. I highly recommend it!
