Lame. Thank goodness there is tonnes of spidey comics issues havent read in the past. More than enough to keep me busy until they realize the mistake they are making.
Wtf is this? I don't know why they feel the need to mess with Spider-Man; it's just fine as is. And "The Superior Spider-Man"? That name sounds dumb as hell. Amazing Spider-Man works just fine, thank you very much.
If they are going to "re-launch" the Marvel Universe, then really turn it upside down. Just for a start, reverse the roles of all the characters. Good guys are now bad. Bad guys are the heroes. Take the ones that are on the fence, semi-good/bad and make them choose a side. Completely change all the costumes. While doing all that, take 50% of the former good guys now bad guys and make them female. Finally, set it in the future, the far future. The Moon and Mars are colonized. Station different groups in different locations. Mars is where the super wealthy are. Moon is middle class. Supplies are still needed from Earth, so mid to lower class, workers, are there. A huge space complex/colony located between the Earth and the Moon. Many techs/research people there. Actually plan out stories, mini-stories that tie into huge arcs that enrich the entire story.
This just reinforces my decision to dump Marvel after 39 years of reading. All of these changes are just plain stupid. I just closed out 99% of my pull box at my lcs. All that is left is Nick Fury's book...and I'm sure it won't be very long until they cancel it or worse screw around with his character. I suffered through this crap back in the 90's...no more. Valiant is looking good. Guess I'll be adding those to my box as they come out. Thanks a bunch Marvel-less. See ya.
