Is there a general consensus solution to the peg issue? Should I try to force it in or maybe try a blowdryer?
I did not have any issues with mine. With my Spawn The Beginning statue, I just careful lined one up, barely pushed it in, then forced the other one in and now its tightly secured to the base.

Did you try putting the front leg in first and then position the back leg in place...? When I first set up the statue I plugged the back leg in first and I had trouble getting the front leg in and with a little (careful) force I was able to get it in a bit, but not fully. Then I reversed it and put the front leg in first and it was almost perfect. I had to guide the peg a bit, but it wasn't as bad as trying to get the front leg in.
That blow dryer trick seems like it'll be a long process...but I'd give it a try as a last resort.
I emailed Todd on Facebook and asked who is the sculptor was, he said he was happy I like the statue and would pass along the compliments to the sculptor but he never told me who it was.

He's a butt hole. Todd just wants his name in lights.
I didn't always. He proved it to me. The decisions he made, how he handled the people that worked for him and his peers. How he fizzled out, and the slow, downhill slide of his creation Spawn. The disregard he had for his fans. I am really not up to going into specifics.

Yes, please don't go into specifics...I'm the mod for this section. Please take it to PM's if you want to discuss further my good friend.
When I am wrong, I say so, and apologize. In this case, I am wrong. The sculpter likes his anonymity. He doesn't have a web page/site. His name is Andy, that much I can say, and he was also the artist that colorized the poster this statue comes from.
Yes, some day, when I can, I will get this statue.
I would also love if Bowen Designs would get the Spawn, Wetworks, Savage Dragon, and other Image Comic characters. Full size statues and busts. Can you see a full size Violator? Suture? Angela? Chapel? Al? (I know some licensing issues with some characters.) A man can dream though!
Oh wow! Thanks for the info! This is easily one of my favorite statues to come out this year! I highly recommend you get it while you can! Good luck! Here is the official announcement:
