Surprised there isn't a McFarlane toys section on the main page!? Their toys are basically statues in there ownself! I actually started off collecting these before graduating on to the real statues and other things. I'm sure many of you have some on display and I'd like to see them! Particularly out of their packaging because I have been contemplating opening them for display. I bought this book shelf to house books in my office room, but I didn't accumulate as many books as I thought so I temporarily threw my Spawn figures (and McFarlane sports figures) in place and they slowly took over. It looks tacky displayed in the packaging so I want to open them, but still not sure. Recently, I have been slowly placing Koto statues (and one of my Bowens) in their place since they seem to fit perfectly in the squares and eventually statues will take over. Anyway, I'd like to see some of your Spawn collections!
These are horrible pics from funky angles because I have a large computer desk partially blocking the display case, (dust build up and everything) but I don't give a sh**.
Nice collection. I have all the NE Patriots including the 12" Tom Brady. I was just thinking it was about time I got him out of storage and found a place for him in my display case.

Thanks! Not a big fan of the Patriots though...they're the Chargers' kryptonite!
Regarding Spawn collections, I was looking to see if anyone had displays like this or similar out of the package displays:
Todd McFarlane really changed the toy industry when he started Todd Toys in the mid-90's.
Each wave just got better and better and it wasn't a stretch to cut these figures out of the clamshell and display them all over the place.
When SportsPicks came along, a buddy and I went ape-crap hunting down all the variants...those were the days...!
I used to own the entire Manga Spawn Series set of Prototypes. I ended up selling them to a SUPER Spawn fanatic in Singapore. That was the last set of Spawn prototype that I owned...they were so cool too...
I used to collect the sports McFarlane and my little brother collected the Spawn stuff. I remember thinking - I wish this dude would get a Marvel license. I love my Bowens, but imagine if you will a world were BD never existed (and thus none of the other BD inspired staue companies). McFarlane would have done a bang up job and think of all the jack you would still have in the bank!
I never would have started collecting if it weren't for McFarlane Toys. My first ever collectible was the Jaws boxset, part of the Movie Maniacs line. I loved that thing.
I sold it (along with all my other McFarlane stuff) a while ago but I actually miss having it. It's the one plastic collectible I wish I hadn't gotten rid of - more so than any Hot Toys figures (!).
Wow great Spawn figures!
Cant believe you have hanging Spawn, Spawn on Throne and Image 10th anniversary Spawn.
Very nice!
Thanks! Yeah, I missed out on the original Wings of Redemption (WoR) Spawn, but I got many of the other heavy hitters.
I do have the 12" WoR Spawn though...still undecided on if I should let these suckers breathe or not...? I don't see myself selling them..so eventually I might break them free of their packaging.
I wish McFarlane would take Image into the polystone world and get his wicked characters out there on our display shelves!
I still have my McFarlane Toys Spawn figures/ Movie Maniacs, Anime figures and others all Mint In Boxes.
Like you, I started with McFarlane Toys before collecting statues.
I used to visit the toy forum at Spawn.com, McF Toys was like the best thing since toasted bread back then. It was always pushing the envelope. I never liked the gory stuff like Clive Barker's Tortured Souls and all that, but I could admire and appreciate that McF Toys was never conventional. It spearheaded "sculpt" over articulation. Although, for certain series, like Series 22, Viking Age, they cleverly engineered all the joints to be hidden under armors. Thus preserving the aesthetic value but increasing playability and poseability with the figures.
Anyhow, somehow, somewhere, McF Toys turned into HALO Toys. No more Spawn, no more comic figures, no more movie maniacs, just HALO, HALO, and more HALO in all shapes and sizes.
I stopped buying McF Toys a long time ago. Had that Spawn VII a long time ago, but sold it. Regretted ever since. It was also my favorite. Nowadays, sometimes, I'll visit the old toy shop in town, whereby they still have lots of old McF Toys, and I just pick one or two here and there.

Nice! I still love these figures! I saw Spawn V at one of the LCS's here for only $17.99, but I think the packaging had a slight opening. I still might buy it if it's there.
He seems to be making all kinds of stuff these days. I recently picked up some McFarlane Conan figurines and I think I saw some other stuff like 60s/70s cartoon characters like Captain Caveman, Hong Kong Phooey, Penelope Pitstop etc. I'm really tempted to snatch those up as they were the cartoons I watched as a kid. Just not sure where I would put them.
