LATEST Commission piece. Batman Begins. Client wanted a portrait of Christian Bale Batman in Batman Begins in monochromatic color scheme & Japanese Chirashi style; hence the Japanese text. Chirashis are mini movie posters. Popular in Japan and as collectors items. This is largely done in traditional media of water color, inks, pencil. Text and logo made with Adobe Illustrator. Some minor adjustments through photoshop. He's the goddamn Batman! ^^ And another satisfied customer.
Commission work in progress for a friend. Work in Progress. Cyclops of the X-Men VS Sentinels. He wanted Cyclops in his most classic outfit. I think it was X-Men #1 when the X-Men first debuted. The black/blue and yellow. Anyhow, I think I will dabble with Cyke's anatomy more. Not to my liking at the moment. A night's work. ^^
Hi, it seems that 8.5"X11" is a popular size.
I am adding a new format rate for this size.
Rate and samples on first message above.
Thank you.
Note: Artwork can be scanned in high-res and sent to you.
If you want original artwork, you can choose to have it sent to you flat in envelope and backing board with normal mail, or in protective cardboard tube(normal mail postage).
Hawkman commission in progress. Pencils and a bit of touch up with Photoshop. Based on rough draft by Ivan Reis I believe. Never thought I would find out so much about Hawkman by reading the Rann-Thanagar War series and Wikipedia. I always thought Hawkman and Kendra aka Hawkgirl were born with wings. But it turns out those are not biological wings. They are Nth Metal wings and can be detached from their backs. Interesting. Despite being technologically advanced, Thanagarians(Hawkman's race) prefer medieval weapons like swords, maces, shields, spears, arrows. For Thanagar!!!!!!!
"Billy is not here, Captain Marvel is!" SHAZAM! The first time I read about Captain Marvel was through Kingdom Come by Alex Ross. I actually like Captain Marvel because he is actually just Billy, a little kid with a good heart. Whenever he cries the magic words 'Shazam!' he is transformed into a grown-up superhero.A4 size. Penciled, inked and then colored with photoshop using a Genius tablet. The face has gone through many changes in photoshop. Sure was fun doing this. Shazam!!! ^^
"In A Flash!" Trying different coloring techniques. A blend of traditional media and photoshop. Pencilled, inked, painted with water color, and repainted again with Photoshop. Hah! Anyhow, the fastest man in the world and probably the universe, The Flash! At first, I had too much lightning bolts all over the place. Went back in and erased those pesky bolts. Less is more. Background is a gradient added with Wind filter and distorted to polar form. Lastly, the little touch ups with the tablet pen. Sigh. Half a day's work depicting the Flash tapping into the Speed Force.
How do you hunt a Spiderman? With your tongue of course! Venom tongue.
Pencil, ink, dilusted ink, pigment ink pens, correction pen fluid(never knew it could be used to do a painting, haha), and acrylic paint plus watercolor background. I'm gonna try more with correction pens or white paint markers next time. Quite happy with how the Gargoyle turned out. A simplified sculpt and more geometric streamlined design, and metal-ish effect instead of stone-material like surface/texture. "We hate Spiderman"-----Venom.
