I liked it, but the truth of the matter is, it was too long for anyone who is not a hard core bat fan. It was hard for my wife, who actually loved the 2nd, to sit through this. This version should have been released as an extended cut on bluray and the theatrical release should have been about 45 minutes shorter.
Also, no real point in having cat woman in the movie at all.
My wife was getting into it more than I was and we waited for the midnight showing
Definitely blew away my expectations and the ending with the auto pilot , Bats telling Gordon about him wrapping the coat around him as a little boy,Alfred 'pretending to not know him' like in his fantasy , Robin getting the batcave...just awesome!

Completely agree. My wife loved it ...shocking! She strongly dislikes movies like this.

I will say that I too enjoyed the ending. However there were a couple of issues with it, besides the ending being predictable after about the first hour to hour and a half.
1. We knew about the auto pilot, because of two reasons, 1 they wouldn't shut up about it and 2, DC isn't going to let Nolan kill him.
2. We knew the ending as soon as Alfred told him of his fantasy.
3. How are we to believe cat woman all of a sudden is an expert on the bat bike, a scene in the beginning of her having an escape chase on a regular bike would have made that more believable.
4. Why does Robin throw away his badge. If anything, he learned the value of being a cop/detective through the whole movie.
5. No way are we to believe Wayne would just hand over the reins to Robin. The first half of the first movie was all about how much training batman needed, which is even more obvious since Bane was in the League of Shadows supposedly. Robin has a lot of training to do.
Overall, my favorite character, storyline was Robin's. It was the most interesting and most fresh in the series.
My biggest disappointment however was with myself. I know the entire Batman Mythos and should have seen Natalia coming. When they said Bane was Ra's son, I was pissed that they strayed that far from the material, and then when they flip it to "nope, he was simply Natalia's body guard" I was disappointed in myself for not seeing it coming.
I thought it was okay. I thought that the ending was kind of cheap, though. I didn't like that Blake's first name turned out to be Robin (too obvious, in my opinion) and I didn't like that Bruce and Selina show up the end (but was that more of an Inception device in that we don't know whether Alfred was just imagining it?), and I wasn't as pleased about how they handled the last fight with Bane.
My other gripe is that I could only understand about half of Batman's and Bane's dialog. While I understand why they did it that way, it's always seemed ridiculous to me and I'd rather understand what they're saying.
So to reiterate, I thought it was okay. Didn't blow my socks off, but I won't call it a bad movie. I'm happy for everyone who loved the movie, though.
I thought it was very good,
although I saw the Marion Cotillard thing coming a mile away,
In that respect it was predictable, but It was still very good

Couldn't have said it better myself. A lot of it could have been left out and still made the movie.
Enjoyed it, The story line didn't get boring in places or lagged, good writing, some Whoa! moments, Bane is Ruthless, recommend seeing, 5 out of 5 Stars
I went to the midnight showing with my wife, after working a 12 hour shift I couldn't make it through the first 15 min. Just trying to stay awake made the expirience horrible for me.
Well I went to rewatch it today, fully enjoyed it and thought it was a nice send off to the franchise.
this is by far the worst Batman movie. I am a HUGE, HUGE fan - the only tattoo i have is for Batman.. and I loved the 2nd movie.
This one sucked, it was boring, and the plot seemed forced (given the time frame that is hard to believe) the only good part was the last 5 minutes. By good part, I mean compared to rest of this steaming pile of dog crap.
I dont feel any need to list WHY I think it sucked, this is MY opinion, but my poor wife has listened to me complain for the last 36 hours how VERY DISAPPOINTED I am in the way this franchise was sent off
Overall it was good. The franchise peaked with the 2nd Dark Knight installment - this was good ending to the trilogy. Wish Bane's voice didn't remind me of a Scottish Sean Connery accent and wish Batman's "demonic" voice was toned down. Maybe this was the alternate reality "Vampire Batman" voice.
Catwoman needed more importance to the story and I agree with the one poster above that she learned to handle the Batpod a little too quickly and easily. Maybe she gained skill on it by sneaking into the Batcave previously on occasions and using it for joyrides to aid her jewel heist getaways. Heh.
Robin's parts in the movie were great. Makes sense as to why they gave him so much air-time now and "good-guy" lines. Didn't see that coming as to him being Robin til the nurse receptionist said his name. "Duh" on me for not seeing that coming.
Hmmm... Talia----- She kinda messed up the last fight scene finale between Batman and Bane. Kinda wanted Batman to kick Bane's ass a bit more. Well, guess she won't be birthing a Bat-kid this time around.
The "Man of Steel" preview was pretty cool as short as it was. Looking forward to that next year!!!! Still not on board with losing the red shorts.
So it looks like a given that the title to the next Bat flick will be "Batman and Robin" unless a JLA movie gets moved up in there instead. I hope!!!!!
Movie was boring
It played like a sequel
Cat woman was stupid and pointless
Bane was stupid and pointless
Robin was, yep, stupid and pointless
Since everyone seems to guess Bruce Wayne is Batman, the whole concept of Batman is stupid and pointless
There's about an hour of footage that's just stupid and pointless
The fight scenes were horrible. If I saw one more stunt man waiting to throw a punch or just standing still waiting to get hit, I was going to scream.
Overall, not a great movie. It didn't suck, but coming off of 2, I was expecting more, but even that is a stretch, since 2 is really only exceptional due to Heath Ledger.
