Default Punisher Fan Film by Thomas Jane

Although the first Punisher movie starring Thomas Jane was not a hit, I liked it and thought that it could have become a really cool franchise. The studio thought differently and made the atrocious reboot Punisher War Zone.

I don't know what the significance is of this short film as far as what may be in the pipeline, but Thomas Jane made it, and its pretty cool. Ron Perlman makes a cameo as well.

I really enjoyed Warzone much more than The Thomas Jane one. This looks cool though. Punisher needs to be dark and rated R

Given the financial failures of the various Punisher films in the past, I doubt they would spring for a new one.

However, a TV series on AMC or HBO might be a possibility.

I always thought that the Thomas Jane Punisher was pretty good. He did a good job in the role too

What I really liked about the Jane Punisher, which maybe some of the hardcore fans didn't like, was that instead of just his wife and kid getting killed, it was his entire family. There was a slaughter at a family reunion. That sort of made more sense to me as far as what it would take for a person to snap and take on the violent vigilante approach to life.

"The Punisher" needs to be brought back as a television series on HBO or Showtime, starring Thomas Jane as Frank Castle.

Each season would deal with one looming "big bad" while encountering one off situations over the course of the story arc.

Ultra brutal TV at its finest.

Thomas Jane is a geek on the highest order. This is a guy who put on a suit from The Rocketeer and attended a 20th anniversary screening last year as a fan. Now he’s made a Punisher fan film…without quite actually calling it a Punisher film.

Jane starred as Frank Castle/Punisher in the 2004 film and has now made a 10-minute short for the heck of it, recruiting director Phil Joanou (1988’s U2: Rattle and Hum) and writer Chad St. John (Motor City). Look for a cameo by Ron Perlman.

On the YouTube page, Jane said, "I wanted to make a fan film for a character I've always loved and believed in -- a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It's been a blast to be a part of from start to finish -- we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it."
The film was shown Sunday at Comic-Con.

I liked the Thomas Jane "Punisher", and this short is pretty cool. I wasn't really sure he was the Punisher in this until the end, when you see the shirt. I'm not quite sure how he offed so many people with the Jack Daniel's bottle without breaking it, but it was fun anyway. =)

i really like it, it's just that it felt a bit un-punisher like when he let those people beat up the kid and harass the girl. maybe this is meant to be the first time he finally snapped.
