Just got home, 10:00 a.m., Saturday from one the Greatest Rush Show's I've ever seen, this was my 24th Rush Concert, been going since the early 80's.
WOW!
Easy time getting there, seat's were Great!!
Alex Lifeson was right in front of us, first half of the show was early hit's, which to a Rush Fan, they're all hit's, had the set list already, but was looking forward to the song's from the New Album.
Extremely well done, as usual, unlike any other band, so many great song's to choose from it's hard to have a list that's not great.
Took a short break, then came out with a small symphony of Stringed instrument's, to accompany RUSH through the New Song's from the Clockwork Angel's Album. Twenty foot flames and PyroTechnic's, Screen Shot's and Short Film's just added to the overall Greatness of this outstanding Show of what Rock should be!!! Of course the Laser's shooting into the Crowd!!
This is the High End of Classic Rock, no one has, or ever will do it better like these 3 Artist's, just WOW!
Never slowing down, even at their age's, as Geddy spoke of, then a shorter drum solo mixed in with a Regular Standard Hit, by the Greatest Drummer of ALL TIME, then there was another brief Drum Solo later, which was also unrealistic.
The place was packed, young to old fan's, saw one of the stage worker's handed a set of drum stick's from Neal Peart and gave them directly to a woman in the center of the front row, a Rock Holy Grail !!! if only.
Finished off with Crowd pleaser's, Tom Sawyer and 2112!!!!
After being to so many Rush Show's I alway's wait for the one that's let's me leaving thinking, well their at the end of their career's, as so many other Band's I've seen over the year's slowly fade and fail, but this Canadian Power House just keep reinventing Prog-Rock!!!
A friend of mine surprised me with Tix, and we were heading home, I realized how cool it was to a be a Rush Fan after all these year's, sound's corny maybe, but I still remember going with my friend's from high school (who I haven't seen since then, life I guess) to see the Moving Picture's Tour at the Spectrum, now it's 2012, something back then you only thought about in "funny book's"
Shaking my head as I was leaving, it's just sad they never get the recognition they truly deserve, someday the whole world may know, well I know.
Hopefully another Album and Tour, but this Holy Triumvirate of Prog Rock doesn't show any sign's of Ending their career's with this Tour.
Also went to this show, with Al (I'll let him do a recap on his own account). This show was, in the simplest terms, amazing. I've never been so blown away by the flawless execution and overall amount of Rock these men have. A perfect display of 3 great artists who are all, at least in my mind, the cream of the crop at what they do. Loved every song they played, especially Headlong Flight which happens to be my favorite of the new album. Everything that happened during this concert gave me chills and no other band does that for me.
So glad to have experienced this event with Al, my mother, and my younger brother (whom of which is 9 and loves Rush). Can't wait for the next one! RUSH ROCK ON!!!!
Best concert of my life & made even better to be with Bunky725, his Mom, little brother, sister & her boyfriend! To see the band you love with the people you love, who could ask for more?

Great Show, wish we could have met?
Section 124 Seat's 3 and 4, where were you and your friend's at??
Wish my niece liked Rush. Would love to take her to a Show, so she could see what Real Music is all about.!!
Saturday's show at the Pridential Center in Newark NJ was great. Really happy that we went to see them a second time. Even with the same setlist I was so excited through the entire show. Chills and goosebumps galore for show number 2. Great time with HoldyourfireAl!!!
