I am currently having a bad experience with this seller. I don't recommend buying from them.
I bought a pre-order Havok statue from them back in February. Since at this point it's impossible for me to file a complaint against them or to give them negative feedback, they felt it was okay to ship my package through USPS media mail. I paid $20 for shipping, but the price for media mail is well below that since it's the slowest service offered. Although the package was sent out on July 21st, I have yet to receive it.
I've brought this up to them but they claim that sending it via this service was a mistake and that their hands are tied. They put the onus on me to find out where the package is and attempted nothing to try and rectify the situation. If it was a mistake for them to send this via media mail, then you would think they would at the very least offer to refund the difference in the shipping cost. Since they didn't, it's a fairly logical conclusion that it is their custom and practice to undercut the competition then use the most unreliable shipping method to offset the loss from the undercutting(they had the lowest price on Ebay for this statue).
Don't buy from Reddragonstatues!
I've been having a dispute with this seller for months! I preordered a batman figuring that was meant to be a gift, and was expecting it in mid April. It never arrived, the seller didn't put much effort into finding the lost item and ebay and paypal said the couldn't help me because it was after the 45 day period. After much work managed to get his paypal put on hold and all his auctions were cancel and he agreed to a refund. That was over a month ago. He still hasn't given me the refund. My messages are ignored. Reddragonstatus is the terrible ebay seller, and pre-order should not be allowed on ebay!
It's just one more problem you face with pre-sells. If the item is delayed beyond what the seller estimates, buyers are often put in a position where they either have to attempt to cancel their order and get their money refunded or they have to "trust" the seller beyond the time limit for eBay protection on the purchase. If you guess wrong and the seller stiffs you there's nobody to blame but yourself and eBay's buyer protection can't help you at all. Some sellers will string you along with promises, but once that deadline passes they suddenly become uncommunicative and you realize you've been had.
I've found that any seller who doesn't offer a refund and suggest re-ordering the item to continue the buyer protection when that deadline approches is probably not the best kind of seller to deal with. If he's a good seller he will not expect you to let your protection expire and will offer you a refund before that deadline passes.
Presale listings generally consist of items that are sold before they're available to the public, such as video games, tickets, and custom-made items. Often the items aren't in the seller's control or possession when they're listed.
If you want to sell presale items, be sure to meet all of the following criteria:
• Guarantee that the item will be available for shipping within 30 days from the purchase date. Be sure to clearly state this information in your listing.
• Clearly indicate in the listing that the item is a presale item.
• The handling time specified in your listing should reflect the time from the end of the listing until the item is shipped to the buyer—not the time the item is in your possession. Be sure to specify the correct handling time in your listing.
• In the listing form, you need to use the default font size of 3 so people can easily see these sale terms.
Make sure your listing follows these guidelines. If it doesn't, it may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including limits of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.
Some examples
• Alice sells video games. She will receive a shipment of a new, very desirable video game from the publisher within 39 days. She starts a 10-day auction on eBay. Her listing clearly states that these games are offered as presale items, and that she will ship them to buyers within 30 days from the date the listing ends. Alice's handling time states 20 business days, since that is the time from the end of the listing to when the item is shipped. Alice's listing complies with this policy.
• Albert, Alice's competitor, also sells video games. He will also receive his shipment from the publisher within 39 days. Albert starts an auction that's almost identical to Alice's, except he chooses a 5-day format. Albert is violating this policy because he won't be able to ship the item within 30 days from the date the listing ends.
Additional information
Buyer protection programs
If you bought a presale item that you didn't receive, you have 45 days from the date the listing ended to open a case on eBay. Find out more about eBay's buyer protection programs.
Magazine subscriptions
Magazine subscriptions (which are considered presale items) aren't allowed to be sold on eBay because the first issue generally can't be delivered within 30 days of the purchase date due to the publisher's processing time.
Promotional items and events
For promotional items and events, eBay, at its discretion, may approve a manufacturer like the game publisher mentioned in the examples above to sell items outside of the 30-day presale guidelines—as long as the manufacturer supplies the items. These exceptions will be made only for certain promotions and must be approved by eBay before listing the items.
Why does eBay have this policy?
The presale listing guidelines are designed to allow members to buy and sell items that aren't available yet and to protect members from a potentially bad transaction.
Once upon a time, I bid on a pre-sale item...got burned...I never did it again.
But that's just my experience. And the pendulum does swing the other way and there are good sellers out there...it's just a matter of vetting through some how and finding the good ones from the jerks...
it is a FEDERAL offense to take full payment on an item you do not have in your possession unless that item ships within 30 days. it is considered internet fraud. the FBI actually has laws specifically for auction sales. contact the FBI about the seller if he does not follow through and in the future, do not pre-order anything on ebay!!!!

I agree. Since my experience with this seller two years ago I have not preordered anything again from Ebay. Live and learn...

It's funny, the title of this thread caught my attention as I recently was looking at some of RDC's auctions and had received shipping quotes from them. I didn't buy from them, but may have....now I'll be leary.
i bought a hot toys thor from him last year. every other online retailer got them in stock. was still waiting on mine. took a month or so later, but i did get it. was very thorough with his communication and offered to refund my money so i could buy it elsewhere
BUT i will never pre order off ebay again. didn't trust that one, but did it anyway for some reason. now i pre order from sideshow. just feels safer to me. ebay sellers can be real shady and it's hard to get anything done when there is a problem
I know that this is an old topic, but I think it's important to report my experience with this same seller
I purchase a pre-order for Iron Man Figure Mark VII from this same seller to be shipped to Brazil. After few months I contacted the seller about the statue and he told me that he had shipped it a month ago. He sent me the tracking number of the package, but it show as delivered to a different address than mine.
I contacted the Brazilian mail office and they told me that, according to their files, they delivered the statue to the correct address. I thought it was a mistake with the mail service and tried to file a complaint but I needed proof of the shipment including the destination address.
I contacted the seller and he sent me my address written on and e-mail. I asked for a scan of the original post office receipt, print of the USPS website or any document that could be used to verify the destination address and they stopped responding my e-mails.
After reading this topic I truly believe that he didn't shipped my statue at all, and they just sent me a tracking number from a different buyer just to avoid any more questions.
Should have search the net before buying from this seller, but he had lot o positive review. He probably scams only pre-order items because you can’t leave feedback after 45 days. Since it’s a pre order you will only figure out the problem after 45 days of the purchase.
