1/2/13 - My photos on the first few pages were on a free image host that seems to have deleted them. Thus if you want to get right to the post with photos please start on this page:
What's up fellow Bowen-philes? I've seen a lot of impressive collections on here. I just started collecting, so it's somewhat modest, but I'd say worth sharing nonetheless.
I know Professor X is not a Bowen, but it's the best version out there at the moment as far as I'm concerned and I love it.
I've got a few more on their way:
Havok
Emma Frost - Modern
Gladiator
Mystique
and the premium format Sideshow Gambit!

Thanks guys. I didn't realize how much weight the Surfer held in defining a collection It's a beauty and I'm happy to have it, but the X-men are without a doubt my pride and joy.
great start to your collection man. i've always held that chrome surfer with high esteem you've got all the nice ones imo esp. that new bowen Cable. and don't compare yourself to others my friend.. seriously, as has been said over and over, it's the quality and the appeal of your collection! happy hunting!
Ultimately it is the statues themselves that hold the greatest value. If I could, and there wasn't a housing shortage in the world, I would have a room for each one separately so I could appreciate each one's beauty the way it deserves to be appreciated. The rendering of these characters in such a way as to capture the essence of how we conceive, as fans, the characters to be, is a truly amazing feat.
I love sitting and staring at them, admiring them, and getting lost in the fantasy that I've engaged in with these characters for so many years . So really, if I had only one, even then I would love my collection and hold it in the same esteem as my current collection, or even that of these super collectors that so generously display their collections of 100's of statues. I can't imagine the time it takes to appreciate them all when the collection is that big. It's a challenge well worth the work I would imagine.
I've discovered a new dimension of fun to collecting these statues, the art of rearranging. I've been haphazardly moving the statues around every few days, and it's been fun.
Here's my latest arrangement:
A quick comment on the Jean Grey modern statue, I feel it's dramatically underrated. It is absolutely beautiful. A very accurate rendering of the character during the Jim Lee era. I thought I wouldn't like her too much, but when I took her out of the box, I fell in love. I highly recommend it if you haven't filled your Jean Grey slot yet and are undecided about which version to get.
This shot reminded me of a certain X-executioner's Song crossover for some random reason
And this is a picture of my statues in the Savage Land last year. They weren't there to fight anyone surprisingly, they just felt they needed a vacation
