Hey Reme,

What is your opinion of the Bowen Havok? I would love a modern version but I don't see that happening anytime soon and have been meaning to add Alex to my display. Even though Scott is the superior brother

Its one of my favorites. It captures the character perfectly in his classic design. I can't recommend him enough!

Hey Gabe
With the realease of the X-men FS statues, I have been thinking of buying either the X-factor team, or the Original X-men team.

I know that you are going to get them both but so far which one do you like best?

My preference
X-factor (I love the colour of the uniforms)
Cyclop - cool uniform
Jean - its ok, but definately not my favorite Jeans out there
Beast - This one is a killer! the best beast IMO
Angel - Still waiting
Iceman - Still waiting, But I like the inhibitor belt

Original team
Cyclop - I like this pose best
Jean - This Jean is Hot! probably the best in this team so far
Beast - It's good but I like the brown uniform best
Angel - still waiting
Iceman - Need to see better pics in person, but I didn't like the blue but the pose is perfect

Your opinion will most likely persuade me to get one team

I think the X-factor set is certainly the better choice. Although the classic set is sort of necessary to honor the roots of this great mythology, the X-factor look is much cooler. Plus, if you have an Archangel statue you've already got a start. Plus, Jean is actually very cool and much better in person than you would think. I passed on her initially when she was first offered, but when I finally took the plunge and got her, I regretted it. She's truly spectacular.

I hope that helps and that all is well down under.

I smiled just by looking at this pic. Nothing like having a long crappy day and then looking at pics of well done themed collections like this to brighten it. LOL my family thinks im nuts when they catch me just staring mindlessly at my collection that Ive seen a thousand times.

Let me tell you, there's nothing like having a long crappy day and then being able to spend time in the room where this set up is housed. It certainly makes a difference.

Your family has obviously not had a collection like this. It's not just the statues themselves we're staring at, but everything that they represent; the stories, the long hours sitting reading them and staring at the art, and the individual plights of each of the characters. These statues capture all of that. How could you not just want to stare at them all day?

Thanks for the compliments!

Thanks Gabe! Everything has been fine here, I have been lurking more than I should around here as I have been really busy with work lately. It is a never ending process.

Yeah I will try to get the X-factor team, the only thing stopping me at this moment in time is space! I keep on buying and piling up my collection. I really need to "unload" some more boxes before ordering some more haha

Thanks Michael! The artwork is something I found online. A company in China makes them. Here's a link:

painting

I asked them to make me the red and black one so I imagine they could do a wide variety of colors.

Here's a preview of my Modern Storm conversion. She's shipping this week and I'll have her next week, at which point I'll post some pics.

Yay!
