One of my favorites. Maybe we could invite him or his rep/girlfriend to this forum. I would love for some conversation on the new DC and Sideshow pieces and I thought his rep/girlfriend was pretty engaging with the forum

I heard about a recent incident with Hughes' girlfriend making some comments on a message board that got some fans pissed off. Anyone know what it was about?

I think over on SF she was going on about how someone sculpting a commission based on one of Adam's drawings and not giving him credit or getting permission from him. The other folks thought that was hypocritical given that Hughes does not do the same to the companies creators of the characters he sketches/commmissions for money. From what I gather it had something to do with the Supergirl drawing shown above.

There was also one of Adam's friends/associates arguing the same point in regards to another commissoned sculpt (Nekkid Girl in Birthday Cake) in their painters section.

Regardless, AH sure draws some purty girls!

I don't understand the need to belittle and artist and his rep/girlfriend over that kit stuff. Its all a grey area and no one is right. I hope she comes to this forum as I would welcome her because she was friendly in talking about the AH inspired statues.

I've noticed over the years in a lot of cases the spouse or girlfriend of the artist seem to care more about such things then the actual artist does.

The wife of the artist Coop is notorious for such things. A couple years ago she had an auction of mine closed because she thought I took the picture from Coop's website which I didn't.


I found that thread on SF, what started off as nice thread where people were commenting on a newly painted piece quickly turned into a fight over plagiarism started by someone named Mightynib.

I didn't belittle anyone. I was just answering Patrick's question. I offered no opinion one way or another.

You are right though, in saying that it is all a grey area. I see no reason not to credit the original artist that a piece of work was referenced from.
