Default Built-Up Perez-Style Wonderman Kit

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Perez-style Wonderman kit. This is the infamous costume that lasted only a few issues before it got trashed by Count Nefaria in Avengers #166

Not a very popular look, but was always one of my favorites. I think because the Avengers 164-166 was one of my favorite Avengers storylines. Anyway, here are some pics of the kit in progress and completed.

Some more finished shots in the next post.....

And with some friends...

This was a great kit and I had a blast doing it. Next project is a customization (my first) of a Bowen Gladiator into Count Nefaria!!!

Plus I have to get back to the Prehistoric Scenes Project......

Wow! That's the first time I've ever seen that sculpt! He turned out great. Those are the kinds of pieces that really set a collection apart IMO. Grats!

RIP, Kirk (aka Ace). You will be missed, brother.

Wow, that's a super clean kit.
Did you have to do any trimming or sanding prep at all or did you just wash off the mold release and start painting?
Wish there were more resin kits that came so clean right out of the box. I'm used to spending way too much time trimming and sanding before it even sees the first coat of paint.

This was one of the cleanest kits I'ver ever had. Virtually no trimming. I did some minor trimming on the belt jets to get them to fit in tight. Other than that, it was clean, prime and paint.

Me too. Always felt bad it didn't last longer.
