Hey gang! Here's a new, OOAK piece I'm doing for a client. He's got a long, long way
to go, but I thought I'd share where I'm at with him anyway. Two things I'd like to
quickly point out first though:
(1) This particular client commissioned me to do this piece back in mid-March and I
did the concept sketch before the end of March, just a couple weeks later. He approved
it back then and, because of my schedule, I haven't been able to start on it until now.
The fact that he's carrying a sword and mace, the same as Jesse and Keith's Hawkman,
is 100% coincidental.
.....and that brings me to point #2,....
(2) PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't start comparing this to Keith and Jesse's Hawkman
sculpt! We're all good friends and the last thing any of us want to hear is "....that Hawkman
has better/worse (blank)", and "....compared to the other Hawkman, I really hate/love
(blank)". Despite the fact that it's the same character, and he's holding the same kind
of weapons, they're two totally different sculpts and not meant to compete with one another.
Anyway, I guess that's about it. Thanks for taking the time to read my little "disclaimer"
and I hope you like what I've done so far!

Wicked stuff Troy! Looks like he is about to smash someone's head between his sword and mace. The intensity is amazing. Form the sketch it looks like the wingspan will be significant.
I'm curious, would it be easier to just sculpt one wing, mold it and reverse it? Is that evenposisble?
