Default Hawkman bust FINISHED!!

Here's a link to the thread showing some of the early build-up pics:
http://www.statuemarvels.com/f209/ha...-i-p-4588.html

Well, I finally wrapped this guy up, and overall, I'm pretty happy with the end result.
I painted him myself and before anyone asks,...he is a one-of-a-kind, so don't
look for any kits to be coming out! Sorry JLA or Hawkman fans!

Anyway, thanks once again to the client for giving me so much creative freedom
on this project and thanks to everyone else for lookin'!

EGAD, Troy! That is such gorgeous work! I've always been a big Hawkman fan and that is without a doubt the flat-out best rendition I have EVER seen of him. WOW!!

Since it's on the back of the piece, I'm betting that's the cartouche for "Troy"

Had to come back and look at this again and it won't be the last time. An absolutely amazing piece! BRAVO!

Thanks guys! I'm glad you all dig him!

......oh, and the cartouche supposedly spells out "Khufu" (the client
provided me with an image of it and requested it be added on the base).

That is beautiful, and amazingly detailed. It is a shame when something like this is done and it is only a one-of-a-kind. I would definitely buy this, if it had been released by DC Direct. The owner is a lucky guy though. Out of curiosity, what does it typically cost to commission something like this? You must put a lot of time into it, at least as much as if you were sculpting for Bowen Designs or something. It would be the same process. Probably more involved, since you are personally doing the final casting and painting it too. I don't think it can be cheap.
