Anyone going to the fan expo? I'm going on the Friday, it will be my first time going to one of these. Does anyone have any pointers or is there anything that would be good to know.
Lol I am new to the forum, but I have been to the Expo a few times. I do have a few pinters.
1) if you are looking for sketches from artists bring a larger pad because they will do larger sketches, but be prepared to pay. Most artists have a price list. Many do commissions at cons, but you MAY have to get to them early.
2) if you can pick up your tickets early then do so. It saves line time.
3)checkout the schedule online as it will help you plan your day.
4)there are some great deals, but you will have to look for them.
5) have a lot of fun. Honestly, these can be a blast if you go I with the right attitude, and with patience.
Awesome, Thanks a lot! I got my tickets in the mail on friday, so that should be good. Super pumped about this.

I haven't been to this one in a couple of years and can't go this year either, but I found Saturday to be really busy when I went. By early afternoon, it's really hard to get up to/in to booths. But if you have the day to spend taking it slow, you should be good!
Re Parking - there is an large underground lot on the south side of the convention centre, I believe accessible off York St. It's just East of the Steam Whistle brewery.
