This is to gauge interest as to who might want a prop replica section.
I know the majority of the forum members collect statues, comics etc but there have got to be a few of us who would talk about the old school Master Replicas, Icons or even the newer EFX companies or showcase what we have.
Thoughts ??
Mods Please feel free to move my thread to whatever section is appropriate.
I have the original Factory X replicas of Mjolnir, Captain America's shield, Nick Fury's gun and Elektra's sais. Also have Stormbreaker. I'd like to see someone do Hawkeye's Bow & Arrows, Daimon Hellstrom's trident, the Ebony Blade and the Infinity Gauntlet.

Good ideas. I think a whole line of replica swords from Marvel would be appealing to a lot of sword / comic collectors. There's the Ebony Blade, Valkyrie's Dragonfang, the Soulsword, the Swordsman's gadget filled sword, Warpath knives, and probably a lot more I can't think of.
Are you using the StormBreaker base for Mjolnir? Mine came with 2 black pieces of wood with a label. I love the later version that actually used a rock base.
The GI Joe swords are sick, have not seen those before.
Muesum Replicas.... I will tell you this.... The Storm Shadow is the easy one to find and relatively cheap.... I picked mine up for about 75 bucks. The Snake-Eyes, on the other hand, took me about 3 years to track down. I dont remember what I paid, but they RARELY show up on eBay. I think I got mine for just upwards of 300, and that was a steal. I have seen the Snake-Eyes go for around 400-500.
A few months ago, sone one had both on eBay, with out the boxes, without the stands, and without the COAs and I think the pair sold for about 150.00... I almost bid on those jsut to have another set....

No, that is the base that came with mine... it is the Diamond Select version... the Cap Shield and the Iron Man helmet are both from Factory X.
To answer your other comment, I never looked at the one that Sideshow was offering (with the rock base) that closely, as I already had Mjolnir.... but I read a review of them (all 3, the Factory X, the DST, and the Museum Replicas) on another site. And from what I read, I remember seeing that this version (the DST) was better than the Museum Replicas or the Factory X versions. Its heavy... really heavy. But it really is a matter of preference.... A lot had to do with the inscription, the base, and the handle, specifically how the leather was wrapped.
I think the versions that SS was offering was from Muesum Replicas.... Mjolnir and Cap Shield. I know I DID NOT like the MR version of the Cap Shield and I did not like the Factory X version of Mjolnir. To me, Cap's Shield was too much of a rounded, convex (buldging out) for me.... and the Factory X version of Mjolnir, the leather was not completely covering the handle. There was too much of the actual handle showing, and it was like a metal pipe or aluminum or something.... (if someone has one, please correct me)
Honestly, the one that I care for the least (that I own) is the Iron Man Helmet from Factory X... I think there are better versions out there....
But FOR ME, personally, I prefer the versions that I have of Mjolnir and Cap's shield (DST and Factory X, respectively).
The Destro Helmet/Mask is a prototype of the one that was solicited by Diamond Select Toys a bunch of years ago... it was never released due to low orders.... I purchased it from the Supervisor of Marketing of Diamond Select Toys (website still says he is there)..... it is made of solid metal (steel), cold to the touch.... and I should not say "solid" as it is hallow, but it is made from steel.....very cool and very heavy!! (EDIT: it is two peices of steel welded together.... the front and the back....)
Unfortunately, there is no COA, no nothing.... He said it was a "gift" from DST while he was working there. That when they (DST) decided to scrap the project, the prototypes were given out to employees at DST.... this was one of them. I could not even get an answer from him on how many were actually produced. I "think" (I could be wrong, but I felt like I was bugging him) he was getting un-easy with me as I kept sending him emails asking questions about it. In a nutshell, he told me to look at the website and to put two and two together for the legitimacy of the item (meaning look at his name and contact info on the shipping box, his eBay account info, etc.)
So basically, all I have is a statement from the person I purchased it from that says its legit, and it is the real deal.... He asked me in his email, not to use his name, but for you clever people, its not hard to find. He sold it on eBay a few years ago.... fortunately, I was the winner of the auction.
There are markings on the inside for the date that it was produced and the name of the company that was hired to do the prototypes (not DST).
