Good statue companies?
I know Bowen is regarded as one of, or the, best statue company. What are some of the others that make quality statues? I have a Koto that I really like. Sometimes there are poses that Bowen doesn't have or it might be too expensive. I have a "New Avengers Wolverine" that I think is done by Art Asylum coming, it looked good in the pictures, but I wondered if anyone had some good feedback on other companies. Maybe some of the more inexpensive statues.

Personally, I thought Dynamic Forces/Marvel Milestone produced some the best statues out there.
Along with Hard Hero...both of which are no longer producing stautes that I know of....
ARH Studios consistently rocks their statues with each release.

Bowen is tops, however ARH and Sideshowtoy are right up there.
Non-Marvel items are offered by these companies.
Welcome to SM!

Thanks, just trying to find some more alternatives to Bowen, but it always seems to come back to his sculpts. Is there some kind of schedule for his phases, like every 3 months or something. My goal is to have enough saved to get in on a pre-order (baby steps). Until then I am going crazy finding some of the older stuff.
Just looked at some of the GG busts. Wow, would love to see those as FS.

unfortunately with the chinese factories slacking, any order from any company could be a disaster, since they all have them made there. for this reason i have discontinued pre-ordering under direction of randy bowen himself who suggested i wait to see the statue in my local comic shop before purchasing. good, solid advice from a guy that knows the business.

Yeah but none of my LCS get statues in. Problem of living in a smaller city without a big comic interest. Now, if I lived in a bigger city with more than 2 LCS (one small, one slightly bigger) than I would wait and see.

i have to travel 30 miles to clearwater, fl or 38 miles to tampa. still better than receiving a flawed piece after waiting so long, only to return it for refund because they ran out of replacements. that got old real quick after i ate it a couple of times and realized the inconsistency of the factory was something i didn't want to be involved with. rather wait to see the piece now before shelling out the bucks.

Hmmm..
The Hulk and Thing bookends and mini-busts look pretty bad ass in my opinion. As does the Red Skull and Red Hulk Mini-busts.
The SquirrelPool mini that I got was a great representation of the character.
The Hawkeye on Sky Cycle and the Deadpool on Vespa looks frakin' sweet too.
To each their own I guess...

promo pics and the released product always differ. some to the point of shock when you see the final product and how it doesn't look anything like you thought it would. ss just pulled that with the joker PF. in person, it looks ten steps down from the professional photos they took.
